Hearing his question, she blinked and pointed at herself curiously, wondering if he meant her. "Im Mia." She said, not answering his question. She took a seat on the beam, "Whats your name?" She asked naively.

He looked over from left to right, trying to see if she was with anyone, but didn't spot a single soul, other than a few birds. "You know it's dangerous out here... a lot of... people you shouldn't be meeting..." His voice got lower as he finished his statement, eyeing her at the corner of his eye.

She scooched over to him, closing some distance. All the while, she pulled out two lolipops, placing one on the boys lap and sticking the other in her mouth. "I can take care of myself." She said, proving she in fact was listening. She glanced at him, taking her loli out and pointing it at him. "Why are you here?" She said almost accusingly, but in a way a mother would scold her child.

He looked at the lollipop on his lap before slowly grasping it his hand, twisting it in-between his fingers. Kendall took a long gander at Mia, and actually felt warmth in his stomach for the first time, though he hid the feeling, and averted his stare. "I'm just trying to get away from society, there are things that shouldn't belong at certain places." He finally decided to take the lollipop into his mouth.

She then turned to Kendall. "Not belonging?" She asked him. "Like a fish in the sky and a bird in the ocean kind of thing?" She asked with a beam in her eye.

He said in a more calming tone despite it sounding gruesome. He took a bite of the lolipop, munching on it. Cherry cherry... he muttered to himself.

"Yeah, but you get used to it, it's just a matter of time before-" Suddenly he heard a loud clanking reverberating from one end of the construction site to the other. He was jolted and a bit more alert now, however, something suddenly made impact on his arm, as if someone threw jagged edges of glass on his arms. He looked and saw a few older kids, just a long distance away, laughing before running off. His arm began bleeding but he ignored it. "As i was saying, it's a matter of time before death comes over and... before you know it, you disappear."

On her palm, small beads of red formed, crystalizing. "Yeah.." She mumbled. "Disappear.." The iris of her eyes exploded with the colour of red, taking over the gray. The red crystals on her palm shot towards the kids in a spray of red diamonds. The bodies of the kids dropped. She glanced towards Kendall with her sweet smile. "But you havent disappeared! Youre still alive." She said, her smile becoming more lively. "Lifes beautiful! Right?"

Kendall's eyes grew wide with what he saw her do with his blood, and as soon as he caught of the kids' body drop, he felt a pleasure of satisfaction inside him. Amazing power... really beautiful too. "Life is beautiful... this may sound weird, but i find a person's death more...-" He rubbed his temple. "..pleasurable, seeing how they stop moving all of a sudden and all..." He clutched his forehead, feeling a dreaded side of him slowly show. "Though my pain is the joyous of them all." He began to convulse in small giggles before quickly forcing himself to stop. "Just ignore what i said..."

She stopped to speak. "Death? Pain?" She asked as if hearing those words for the first time. However, she didnt find what he said weird at all. She glanced towards the kids she just killed. Killing didnt have much meaning to her.. yet. "I find that ugly." She said, pointing at the bodies. "When I was given life." She said, remembering being born from the earths crust. "I found it beautiful to be born.." She looked at him again. "Yet death is mandatory." She sat again, swinging her legs with the candy still in her mouth. "I dont like pain either." She mumbled, her eyes reverting back to gray. (Her ability is to control rubies c: Her species is Gem)

He looked at his hands, as he balled them up slowly and closed his eyes. "I have a severe illness that takes a long while to recover from since where i came from... things weren't happy-going. Death was given to those of the weak, while the strong are those who cause death over the weak." He paused for a moment. "Though, I have to agree with you, being born is something beautiful, but, being born with a twisted fate is something else." He finished up the lollipop by biting it some more.

She said, wrinkling her face to imitate what a old person looks like to her. Although she got the faint image, she didnt understand his explanation in full extent. "I think youre stronger then them." She said referring to the dead. "Nothing should hold you back."

Kendall looked at her before letting out a small laugh, which lasted for about a few seconds before hunching over, and throwing the stick, which once held the lollipop, out of sight. "I'm very sorry young miss, but this is where you are wrong...except for the old part." He heaved out a sigh before rolling up his sleeves, revealing his cut wounds, scars and stitches. A crooked smile, graced upon his lips. "You may not know much, and you really have a pure mind, but i'll just tell you this." His pupils got smaller. "I was part of an experiment gone right, but got loose and broke out, and now ended up here. And as much as i want to forget, it's nearly impossible."
