I think anime is a lot more popular than people give credit for. There is a lot of people who like anime everywhere you probably just not aware of the people around you because they don't broadcast or advertise it. I bet if you start talking to people and asking around and doing a little research you will be surprised with what you find. People are not just going to openly say "Hey, I like anime, wanna be my friend." You have to actually start up a conversation and then see if any one is interested and go from there. BTW most girls who like anime are not weird or anti-social, they just might not express it as openly as you would like. This is all my opinion from what I see.

And I do agree with you 100%. Also the part about girls not being weird and anti social. I did spoke to tons of cosplayers at last years comicCon and most of then were awesome and friendly and love Anime and manga to the max.

I've ran into many girls that watch anime in the past. While they weren't weird or anti-social, they had very bad attitudes which made me leave anime for a good few years during high school because I did not want to be associated with them.

My social life has since declined so I don't know any girls that watch anime anymore but I'm sure there's a lot more out there, you just have to open your senses. I mean just look at CR and the wealth of females that watch anime here.

Sorry to hear that about your meeting with those gals and what happen after that bud. Thats the second reason why i decided to join CR because i could chat with like minded folks male and females. I miss this year ComicCon my brother went and said he met some CR members. The reason why i kept bumping this is to meet more folks and i hope one day in one of those Con's I could meet face to face and talk to those folks.

It's all good man, sometimes you find some great people and sometimes you don't. It doesn't matter what the hobby is, there's always those that are terrible human beings and those that are awesome.

I for the same reason as you came to CR in hopes of socializing a bit more with people of the same interests. CR had it's lows and is still growing every day so I'm sure that one day you'll be able to meet face to face with plenty of CR's members.

Me=Hey did did you saw episode 3 of say i love you

Male co worker=umm no what was it about

me=give the entire detail of the episode and now is waiting for a response to my explanation

Male co worker= no emotional response except the usual "i see so...now can we change the subject "

LOL

Aso not to creep you out but i check your page and I see that 2 of the series you are watching were also part of my favorite "we without wings=love the plot twist and the jokes. Also under the starry sky great love love story and it kept me wondering who was going to end up with the main protagonist.

Couldn't agree more with you bud sometimes you find the worse people that like your hobby. For me one of my favorite past time is Baseball and sometimes you meet great people that support or are your rival fans and yet you get along and there are sometimes you wish to strangle your own fan base or the opposition.

Yep, competitive sports brings out the worst in people sometimes. Regarding your other response too; I understand how you feel about "Say I love You" because I absolutely loved it, but I'm sure none of my male friends are going to want to talk to me about it. So it's always nice to have a few female friends interested in anime so that you can chit chat about the romantic animes without feeling like..

My friend you are one wise guy for your age. Also nice you use a picture of one of my new favorite anime(my little monster)is Chizuru. Also that fit to a t . Hey let me just say it. Im a die hard Red Sox fan living in NYC(the Bronx to be exact) haven't had a fight or anything because folks have calm down since 2004 but before that man it was like somebody was challenging you manhood day by day.

Haha there's a ton of us out there! Most of us are closet fans though. I mean we don't just go around randomly yelling to the general public "hey we like anime!!!"

Thank you, I appreciate it. (I really enjoyed it too; another anime that would be rather hard to talk about with other males) I could only imagine what it would be like to be a Red Sox fan in the Bronx. I had it easy with hockey, everyone would fight but after the game we were friends lol. I'll stop now, we're getting too off topic.

I understand girls don't do this, i mean I don't either. But I'm wondering if you ladies throw out clues? For instance, would you walk around town with a keychain of your favorite anime character? I personally have a lot of anime accessories, NERV stickers on my phone, NERV keychains, etc.. I usually look at girl's phones to try to get a sense of character, but I rarely see them using anything besides Rikkulama/Hello Kitty if it's anywhere close to anime.
