I guess you can say that I am lucky. Thats true in NYC we have so many things going at once that sometimes you feel like theres nothing for you unless you dig deep. For example we used to have the big Apple con at the New yorker hotel(right in front of Madison Square Garden) before ComicCon came in. So Anime fest was at the end of comicCon. So it was a 1,2 3 extravaganza(Big Apple con,ComicCon and then Anime fest) . But Thing weren't handle correctly, whether it was money or time and in the end Anime fest got added into ComicCon now you have to divide yourself and your time so you can get all the comic's,panels and extra and even with 4 days now is not enough. My brother and Me had to divide our self so we could at least attend a few panels and signings and yet we never manage to get all the stuff we want. Sometimes I wish Anime fest had its own thing so i can just dedicate my time to it. I do agree with the extra of ComicCon anime fest get more and it helps but sometimes its too much. |

Personally, I tend to stick with manga rather than anime, but I still really enjoy watching anime (I will almost always read a series before watching it though...)
I started to really get into manga in high school (with Inuyasha and Naruto) but I didn't have much opportunity to become a diehard fan cause I couldn't find anyone who shared my interest and with whom I could discuss / find new series... it wasn't till college that I found another girl friend who was into manga even more than I was and with whom I could share my passion and make it grow. From there we found several other people in my program who were into anime and manga and my reading / watching really diversified. It was thanks to them that I went to my first Con last summer, and they got me onto Crunchyroll. I realised I much prefer being part of a wider community and being able to have people with whom to discuss my passion and discover new things. ^.^ |

If you try to show then anything new they go "but is not as good as (insert popular series here) Yeah definitely. There are different types of anime fans though. I just got back into anime and I started watching shows i never heard of because they sounded good, not based off of popular ones. |

Also i do agree i tend to read the manga first and then get into the Anime. Only exceptions were Naruto and Bleach(watch it first and then got into the manga). I like your response |

I look for whats out theres wether is here in CR,HULU,NETFLIX or Manga so i can get into a new Anime or manga. Right now I just finish season one of Big windUP and i love it . I wish CR had season 2 and that the creators make season 3. After seen Cross Game i got back into the sport Anime an I couldn't get enough. Specially about Baseball one of the few sports where Manga and Anime can get behind since it has no time limit and you can get deep into a character or a whole team with just one game and take it from there. |

Thats true specially if your city doesn't has too many events then you know the concentration it will be greater. Actually in my case, I live in the northern parts of sweden, where there are not that many events. But I've been to many events in Uppsala and such. And alot of girls in my art class that I attended were into anime, so I was lucky I guess haha! |
