Being honest, I don't really like to actively advertise that I'm an anime fan offline because:
1) people tend to either think that it's either all for kids or all wacky hentai, and in most situations I don't want them making assumptions about me based on their misguided view; and 2) most other fans I meet are either uncomfortably intense about it or actually not really into most anime, just Death Note/ Naruto/ Bleach, none of which I can honestly say I'm a huge fan of.

That said, I have a few subtle keychains and things, and I'll talk to someone if they happen to recognise them.

I agree with you in all counts but I do not advertise that I'm a big time Manga and Anime fan. If anybody sees me in the street they assume "big time jock and nothing else" yet when they know me they go ok jack of all trades

So we all can agree with

1- We need more women into all kind of manga not just Shoujo,Yaoi or Yuri(same goes for the guys)
2- We need knowledgeable fans but not snobs so we can introduce new fans.
3-We need to get rid of the stigma associated with Anime and Manga
4-We need to be friendly and discuss anime just like any other art form

and Lastly

5- Can we all just get along? :D

ps Happy Holidays to all

Don't really know any girls that are into it other than my relatives and even then I wouldn't say they're into it.

And most girls I know are into the typical female stuff, shopping and gossip etc. lamo

Wellll, my personal take on this is I don't think its a very big issue xD

Of course everyone would like that dream girl/guy that loves anime and you could talk to them about it and watch anime together and all of that, but unfortunately being that you live outside of Japan (Or at least I'm going to make that accusation..) anime will not be popular enough around you to easily find a girl like that! Quite honestly, I'm perfectly fine with anime being my guilty pleasure that I'm happy enough watching alone and discussing it online. Of course don't get me wrong, if a beautiful girl walked up to me and started talking about my favorite anime I would probably pass out from sheer happiness x3

Anywayssss back on topic xD, If you really want to meet a girl that enjoys anime as much as you do or maybe more, your gonna have to put in the work for it! Find some anime conventions or events around your area and attend those. I mean nothing bad can come of it. That at least seems to be my only solution to your problem, but hey, ya never know, you could lucky!

Yeah, it would be nice to meet someone that is a fan of anime. Then I would be the happiest guy on earth. and i'm sure every other guy would feel the same.

I just wait for one that is an anime fan, just as Gilgamesh waits for one that is worthy before using his best treasures on opponents.

True that and in time, my friends. Also, good example from Fate/Zero.

Yea, but that's almost better then you get comics, manga, anime, and gaming, the girls there will probably be interested in all of the above! plus if you go to any anime booths, you'll find anime interested girls there. Where I moved there's not much for any conventions at all, geeze I miss Chicago Its hard to get my nerd-girl fix in the middle of no-where.......

Sharing the same hobbies isn't always a good thing. Having different hobbies means two different worlds to be explored by both of you.

I've never even heard of one in the UK, I mean even Videogaming barely has anything here and think about how huge that is!

As for girls who like anime, there are plenty. Same as there are girls who like video games, football etc etc etc. If you want to meet one that desperately maybe you should look up local clubs/gatherings etc for it, its easier if you're in university or something but that doesnt mean there wont be something near you

That and with anime its often a case of ignorance rather than dislike, means you can have that great experience of watching things you love and think are classics with her/him.

I do agree you get everything on the Con but the problem is that is so many things going at once that you miss most of it. When we had Anime con it was pure anime and Manga and panels, contest etc were divided so well that you could attend all of it and not miss a beat. Also you are right with ComicCon you do meet a lot of interesting people(male and female) but it sucks when you leave away from any big convention.
