Hmm...

Walk into the anime club at my high school, and girls outnumber guys about 3:1.

Also, all you hear is yaoi talk.

I feel for the few guys who are in there.

I'm sure there are plenty of girls who like anime around here .. I've simply never heard of them. Or I did, but they were fat.

I've revealed an uncomfortable universal revelation to you. Do with it as you will.

There were plenty of girls at my high school who liked anime, granted some of them had rather odd reputations. Among them being a member of a group of friends who got me back into anime. I also randomly recall seeing two girls I'd expect to see on their school's cheer leading squad checking out a relatively obscure anime (Fushugi Yugi, perhaps? I can't say. Certainly something that wasn't on the major networks in our area), and reminiscing about the first time they watched it. That made my day, and I was actually able to browse the anime section without feeling like a complete alien.

I don't know any guys who are into anime and manga as much as I am ^_^ it's the same for girls - its like where are all the otaku guys?!?!?
Conventions are probually the best place to meet other people - and you also get to have so much fun cosplaying! <3 its nice to be in a place where people don't look at you strangely because your wearing a Fullmetal alchemist t shirt (which I do wear frequently)
I tried to talk to someone in my local library's manga section, they just ignored me xD but hey if you run into me I'll talk about anime for a total of 2 days and then move onto comics ^_^
It would be nice to have someone to enjoy anime and manga with - its always nice to get some suggestions and other peoples opinions (and nice to have someone understand what I'm talking about instead of looking at me like I'm insane)
But we do exist, so don't lose hope xD

Me Im an old & new school kid of guy when it comes to Anime and manga. I talk to anybody that is nice enough to talk to me and im a social person so if i see a person cosplaying and i like it i will compliment Talk to then and take pics with the cosplayer, My library when it comes to manga is very limited since i live in a big city. Haven't lost hope thanks to great people like you and the rest of the folks in here. Thats why I love the Crunchyroll community.

Hey dude ^_^
Yeah I'm an old and new kinda person with anime too I love 80's and 90's anime but I also like what's airing too (to some extent - minus the shojos and harems - though there are some exceptions)
I'm a bit shy around new people so I spend ages deciding whether I'm going to talk to anyone xD when I finally decide and I get rejected I just feel humiliated. My manga section is really small in my library - I live in a rural village (where manga certainly isnt plentiful). It's nice that you talk to cosplayers and people who just randomly talk to you! There should be more people like you!!
*thinks back* although there was this guy who picked up all my manga when I randomly fell over in the bookstore xD (I'm so clumsy )
People like you keep me believing that liking anime and manga is an asset to your social status I just love this forum ....

Thank you for the compliment I watch and read any subject when it comes to anime except the Yuri and Yaoi not saying theres a bad section of the Anime and Manga world but thats not my branch . Harem it depends if its funny. Thats why i say sometimes living in a rural place has its disadvantages when it comes to manga but since we are moving towards a digital world that is beginning to change(thank God) Also talking to people about anime shouldn't ostracize you or make you seem like a weirdo . Thats just totally wrong because is all about reading and trying to understand the message of each piece(equals to improving Your thinking and intelligence).

Also being 6'5" tall helps since most people will actually notice me and listen to what i have to say but i surprise then by being super polite and funny and making then feel at ease. Hey that guy that picks all your manga maybe the kind of guy that will talk to you since he will notice your manga choices. Oh and thank you for the social status part it is nice to know like minded people can get along so well.

Not that many people (at least in America) are that into anime, so it's not surprising that it's hard to find girls (who number at most around half of those who are into anime) who are interested in anime. If I were you I wouldn't try to find a girl for a partner based on her interest in anime... it's not necessary or practical.

If you absolutely have to find a girl who's into anime I guess an anime club at a local college or something would be a good place to look, or just meet people online through Crunchyroll.

In my case i want a few female friends to talk about anime. Not saying dating...just friends

It's really hard for me to find a guy that knows as much, or loves anime the way I do though ~

Well I do hope you do find a guy that will treat you well and is into your same hobbies (since that will make any relationship even better) My ex hated anime but was a sports nut so we did well in that end. No we didn't split because of anime, manga or anything relationship wise we split because she is in the navy and she kept getting deploy and we didn't get to spend anytime together. Out of a year i would only manage to see her a week or so.So we decided to split and remain friends.

Hey then give then a Venus razor and calm then down. Help her release all that pent up energy by gaming or playing sports .
