I recommend removing Windows 95, don't run it natively.
Install it within VirtualBox and you'll get rid of the incompatibility issues with the CPU. With your setup you won't have much, if any performance hits when running Win95 games in VirtualBox.

Runs games through 2012 on max for the most part. I got it in Oct of '11. Couldn't be happier with the way it's stood.

To build it now would run shy of 7-800, just off-hand. Maybe more or less. No real need to go bawls out, game developers know the economy and markets and have not made a game that requires a GTX 6XX series GPU to play on max, to my knowledge.
