Yea, I really hope we get more kokoro. Its probably been one of my favourites recently, along with Chihiyafuru and Kids on the slope Im actually getting into some slice of life style anime (Yes i know kokoro isnt strictly slice of life but it has many of the same elements)

Ohh, I forgot about Kids on the Slope, but I would love to see a second series.
I would love a second series of Tari Tari as well.

Kids on the Slope probably can't have another season because it covers just about all of the manga material. Unless there were light novels or something.

I liked the end of Kokoro Connect though. It ended a lot better than I thought it would.

Kids could have a couple of OVAs to fill in the big gaps in the last few episodes, there was no middle ground story between school and adults like there was in the manga. That and the manga ending was just much more satisfying.

Was Sawashiro the woman who played Inaba? Something about her voice just holds my attention

Just finished the OVA's recently and I gotta say this show has proven to be one of the best character driven stories in a long, long while. In a lot of anime, and especially in stuff like harem anime, the depth of relationships explored when you have multiple suitors for one character is pretty limited. One person can have 2 or 3 or even 5 or more "suitors" and in the end they all just decide to somehow "share" their love. You almost never get to see one of the main characters actually have to choose one and only one person to ultimately fall in love with and show the process of how they went about narrowing their choices down to that one person and to clearly state "that's the one I'm truly in love with".

In Kokoro Connect we saw the development of a love triangle between Iori and Taichi and Inaba from the ground up and actually and honestly develop through the course of the show. We got to see . You almost never see that level of growth in ANY medium these days.
I've heard many people claim that a particular series shows a lot of character growth, but I bet many of them don't show it to the level shown in this series. I have to say Kokoro Connect sets the bar pretty high on that. And what's more, this show proved to be fun and entertaining without the gratuitious use of fan service. No obligatory beach episode or pool episode or unnecessary swimsuit shots that were just cheaply inserted to boost ratings or DVD sales. That's also extremely rare both in anime and the overall entertainment industry these days.

All in all a highly recommended show for anyone who wants more than just guns and explosions or outrageous comedy just for the sake of outrageousness. It's got true depth that even someone like Miyazaki would have trouble achieving

Kaiser, I think you should edit the 'unnecessary shots that were just cheaply inserted' part... there are quite a few scenes where Taichi 'just happens' to see one of the girls in various state of disrobedness during one of the arks. Not saying that's a bad thing, but the scenes were both unnecessary and primarily fanservice - so the scenes DID exist.


I'm loving the show, personally, but I don't think it's right to misrepresent it like that. Like it for what it is - there's plenty to like without being dishonest.
