What's your favorite horror film(s)?

Mine are The Shining, Halloween, and Orphan. But if I had too pick between them, The Shining.

I can think of two that really like but I can't decide which is better! So there pretty much tied for my most favorite:

Dead Alive (for the over the top gore and humor)
Evil Dead 2 (a classic, plus Bruce Campbell!)

That's an impressive list. I feel strangely blissful looking at such a great collection of favorites. Reminds me of some special video stores that stashed the cult goodies.

So many.

Scream films are a personally favourite. Especially 2 because the character I associate as me gets killed. Nothing scarier then seeing the closest thing as you get murdered.

Aliens, sends chills every-time.

Fog the original, terrifying like Misery.

Dead end, saw, satan pit from drwho.

I love the Host! I'd have to say my favorite horror film is Silence of the Lambs. I don't really watch horror movies in the "they scare the crap out of me and makes me jump out of my seat" point of view. I don't really think any horror movie is actually scary, I pay more attention to the story and how it itself would scare you.

I really liked the original Carrie, even though it isn't really horror compared to today's standards.
