That not attending Church not only sentences You to an afterlife in Hell, but more importantly that it makes You a "bad person"...

That the bullies were right, i was, am and always would be a freak, an abomination. The only thing is they were part right, i was different to them, thank god i will never be like them, not ever.

I also thought school cared, that teachers were there to help you, not be the bullies, or worse. I so wished it to be true, How they shattered that view of life.

Honestly, just that the world wasn't filled with terrible people.

Every day I lose a little more faith in society and it's direction, but what's the point moping about it? I'll do my best to live a happy life, so should everybody else.

I thought that I would get apprehended by the police as soon as they see me outside, thus I stayed inside for most days in the first 8 years of my life.

As a child, I believed in good and evil. There were good people and there were bad guys. Whatever you did to the bad guys was okay because they were evil. It is incredibly dehumanizing as a label. Good is impossible to measure too. I am not sure if there is an objective moral order. I am not sure if there are moral absolutes. I know there are ethical standards, but relativism and shades of gray always enter circumstance. Maybe we can say there are ethical absolutes and the exceptions of circumstance are category errors. (Ex. It is not okay to murder someone. It is okay to kill someone in self-defense.)

It is an important distinction to say that not only does evil not exist. Neither does good. I came to realize, I am always wrong if you bring enough layers of perspective down on what I am saying. I could politically/sociologically/historically correct while still being rude, or even factually misleading. Good is not damaged by error. Good is not something you can be in a vacuum. Good is a manner of being. It is the day-to-day and is not delineated from because you made a mistake.

As a child, I believed in moral absolutes and I believed every adult somehow had this sense of control about them. As if there was a code to go be and an order to the universe. As if they knew everything and it would all work out in the end. Growing up has been a journey to realize no one knows what is going on and a lot of people are frightened by the future even while being excited to proceed. That it is hard to find someone who is too dumb to talk to about anything because each person has something. If someone has been alive 20 years they are probably going to be able to tell you about something. No one is right every time, or wrong every time. Everyone seems to be beautiful if you peel away the layers of what they are not and what we might want them to be. Good and evil. I can't subscribe.

I also wanted to be a wizard.

Thanks to black and white photographs, I as a child used to think that the world was lacking color until around the time I as born. I also used to rub crushed up leaves on wounds because I thought the power of trees would heal me...

My father told me when I was very young that there were little dwarfs inside of pepper mills that crushed the peppercorns with tiny hammers to turn them into pepper. I kept trying to look up into the bottom of pepper mills to try to catch a glimpse of the dwarfs. I usually was rewarded with pepper in my eye.
