am curious on places that a american can vist for a vacation, that is safe, fun, and were there not hated. every country has beautiful landscapes.A place were locals don't want to beat the tar out of us (or sell off our organs, kidnapped and ransomed) that was a joke but it happens rarely. in safe I mean from people not animals, Is visiting a beautiful city with attractive woman better than the country side. Can you mix both. I love tropical places as well as scenic places and beautiful citys with a grate night life. I want to travel but dont know where, any suggestions? Also suggestions on how to stay safe in the country you suggest from the human factor not the animal one. plus how to act and what not to say. Thank you posters if any bit

I think it would be easier to list the places to avoid over the places that are safe to go to. This with the assumption that you know that no matter what country you go to there will likely be seedy places to avoid, but common sense should be exercised.
Places to avoid:
North East Africa (Somalia and the nearby)
North Korea,
Iran,
Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan
Much of the middle east.
To stay safe, use your instincts. If a situation feels awkward get away. You have instincts for a reason, use them.

Milford Sound New Zealand for something natural.
Taj Mahal, India for unnatural landmarks. When I went there, it was so much better than in pictures. I felt like I was in a different time period... like I was living in the Disney Aladdin's movie. So magical. Definitely on my list of place to visit before you die.

Most of Europe, especially Northern, is great. Lovely places and, for the most part, very polite people. Expect everything to be expensive though.

You guys are so right, every one likes canadians. There nice folks that don't bash other countries as we americans do. I did think about that before if asked say am canadian.
