Yea it has been happening to me lately...there is some rogue mod deleting non-offensive post. I seen like five of mine magically deleted and they were mostly great-intelligent points of view so he must be part of "The Stupid". I only say this because Its kind of frustrating when you put a lot of thought into a post and its erased with no trace, reason or explanation, so now I screen shot my best post. |

I smile at them and let them continue and act like a care. I also give back sarcastic replies but in a way that they wouldn't notice.

The title question and your statement have little to do with each other. Are you suggesting that books are boring and unimportant or that people with conversational topics which you know little or nothing of are boring and think they are better than you simply because it's over your head? Are you just assuming they think they are better than you, because you don't understand or are there specific people you have in mind that think they're better than you? Do they tell you that they think they are better than you? Also, let's not assume that if someone thinks they are smarter than you, they automatically think they are better than you. Remember, there are many aspect of a person that can be admired, for aside from intelligence. If they were truly "intellectuals" they'd acknowledge this and treat you in accordance. And btw, "Books smarts aren't everything." |
