True, my parents still use both of those names, but they are of that older generation, and neither grew up in the US. I note this, because it seems to be more common in certain cultures, while in the US it's taken a somewhat negative (or at least, leaning toward sexual) connotation. In my opinion, my parents use both terms in much the same way many parents used to refer to each other as "Father" and "Mother" in front of the kids in the US. I know some still do that as well, but it's far less common than it was.
