1) Ano Hana
2) Dusk Maiden of Ambesia
3) Clannad After Story
4) Air
5) Grave of the Fireflies

I'm not going to even say I cried man-tears when I watched these. I cried like a little girl. Ano Hana especially, just that last line from Menma!

Clannad After Story
Air
Sword Art Online
(I'm sure they are others, those are the three that first come to mind.)

Grave of the Fireflies deserves it's own place as one of the saddest pieces of art I watched. It was beautiful and depressing and so powerful as it was based on the treatment of orphans in Japan during World War II. I am glad I watched that movie and I highly recommend it to others. However, I don't think I could sit through it again.

I feel exactly the same way.

The emotions I felt watching it literally caused physical pain. I'm very appreciative that I saw it, but don't think I could ever watch it a second time.
