I can only think of two series that had me crying really hard: Haibane Renmei and Angel Beats. There are others of course, but different storylines evoke different emotions, but I cry pretty easily.
I watched Summer Wars with my cousin on Christmas and cried at the end because it was sweet. |

I've almost cried before, but never had a tear shed from my eye.
I don't recall what anime it was, but it was recent, it was the closes anime to make me cry. I'm glad I didn't though, or I'd compare myself to my mom n her novelas. |

Fate/Stay Night - the anime (The end were Saber finally confesses her love for Shirou, but fades into nothing)
Sword Art Online (Just....SAO...a few scenes jump readily to mind) And, of course, Toradora! (That scene where Taiga realizes that she won't be the one "beside" Ryuji anymore...yep...real...honest to kami-kun....man-tears...) |

Lots of anwers that are very similar. I can say If I connect with the character and he or she goes into pretty emotional situation like dealing with so much grief or happiness , and when the animation, the music and the delivery of the actors are done right then I would have the same feelings too. I almost forgot, I cried with Mutta kun in episode 37 of Space Brothers scene starting at time frame 19:08 http://www.crunchyroll.com/space-brothers/episode-37-two-men-in-the-park-610599 this anime makes me feel good inside. But the end episode of Ano Hana got me real good and everytime I watch it. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anohana-the-flower-we-saw-that-day/episode-11-the-flower-that-bloomed-that-summer-607079 starting @ 17:00 . I was crying with everybody. Because I wish I could get a note like that from my mother and see her one more time ,healthy and smilling as she departs like Menma did in the end. Anyone who lost a love one are sensitive to these themes even though these are just fiction and on top of that an anime. |

One Piece. Don't really cry much when watching something fictional, yet I've cried at least 4 times out of the 360+ episodes of One Piece I've watched.
