The closest I've ever come was the last episode of Tenchi Universe.
Saikano, Clannad, Angel beats, didn't do anything for me.
What was so sad about Angel Beats? I found that 1 scene of saikano much sadder.

This was a big surprise.Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions.It hooked me right away.It was funny,heartwarming,sad and episode 12 was one that ended right.Its on TAN The Anime Network you do need a sub but an anime like this makes it worthwhile.Any body else watched this?

The most recent anime that made me cry was Gosick. The ending just fit the story SO perfectly, and I was extremely emotionally invested in the characters by the time the series wrapped up.  |

I don't really cry when I'm watching something even if it's sad, but the ending to Gungrave almost made me cry. Also the third Hokage's funeral in Naruto made me cry when I fist watched it

And Anohana was sad but the weird thing I didn't cry the entire series but then like the next day after I finished watching the series it just hit me.
