Its Kamina Thats when I cried too. I have a brother and that scene really overwhelmed me even though it was such a goofy anime at times. I kept wathcing though it was downhill from that point onwards in my opinion.

Click to show or hide Kamina's death in Gurren Lagann tore me in two. I was not ready to let go of him at that point in the show. I dampened a napkin or two from that scene. Oh and Ash's Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide death by petrification in one of the earlier movies(when I actually watched Pokemon). Also pretty young then. Not really a spoiler but Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide the ending of Elfen Lied(anime) I'm in deadbeat mode right now, so all my preserved energy goes to keeping my sanity for tomorrow. Unfortunately you don't get any more tearjerkers from me.

I know the series is primarily a comedy, but they deal with some pretty serious stuff in that show. In spite of the fact that they're always fooling around, the three main characters especially have incredibly deep and often tragic pasts. I almost never get emotional when watching a tv show, but this show is one of the few that actually managed to bring tears to my eyes on multiple occasions, both of sadness and of laughter. I have never in my life seen a show that so masterfully blended the humorous and the serious. It's one of the few shows I would give the title of masterpiece.
