Don't you find it funny how in children's cartoons that the good guys have sharp weapons yet they don't reallly use them.
Like in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles they use their weapons to block, but never to attack.
I never really can recall a kids show where they used their weapons to cut up someone.
If anyone knows a show that does or recognizes this themselves, this forum post is meant for you!

Tom and Jerry often uses weapons. I mean they actually use them and its mostly Jerry since Tom...never wins. I always wanted to see a episode when Tom won but I never did. Poor Tom.

There were a few episodes where Tom did win! I remember there was when Tom's cousin came to visit, but he was afraid of cats and Jerry teased him.
Hmmm....that all I can remember right now. but I know there is 1-2 more.

My faith is now restored! Hah to think Tom didn't even have a winning show. I wish it came on more so maybe I can catch it

The only show I remember was when Tom called one of his family members from New York to get Jerry and Jerry called his cousin from somewhere else I think

The first one I thought was Tom & Jerry. I think a few episodes of the Looney Tunes have used weapons on the other characters.

I know exactly what you are talking about. True fact: a children's show has 25 more instances of violence in one hour than adult shows do in the same time period. The main difference is that the children shows are unrealistic so the kids do not get the idea to do the same thing. One of those unrealistic things about the violence is that there is never any long-term consequences of those actions (like cutting a person with a sword). I remember that it was not always like that. Shows on Cartoon Network like the PowerPuff Girls or Dexter's Laboratory showed realistic violence, including blood.

Haha oh yea, Tom called a mouse extermination company, but they still got their butts kicked. XD
That's one of my favorite episodes.

The 1990's batman, xmen, and spiderman all used weapons regularly.

Those were some of the best cartoons, where it was more about the story than making the episode result in a moral lesson.

Gonna have to debunk you on spider-man. Spider-man actually was so heavily censored, that he wasn't allowed to punch anyone. Every attack was a throw or some sort of swinging collision.

It's the modern censors. children don't grow up with a proper sense of anything nowadays, and parent's don't seem tow ant to talk to their kids to tell them about violence and what should and should not be acceptable.

Bleh.

we talking about the same spiderman? It seems like I remember him using a lot of objects to throw at / hit people with, including 5" electrical cable to electrocute people.

he also tended to kick people a lot.

Spider man wasn't much a puncher though, i'll admit that. Just saying that he was pretty physical.
