It's sad because i'm from Northern ireland which is also a part of the UK but nobody realizes that or at least doesn't acknowledge it :(.

To be fair, there are many people up North who resent the fact that they are part of the UK and don't acknowledge it.

I'm Northern Irish myself and wouldn't get too hung up on it one way or another and tbh most people down South where I live now and on mainland Britain couldn't care less about what goes on up North. It's very complicated hassle neither wants to get involved in. That flag in Belfast nonsense showed the general apathy in both sides towards the North's affairs.

Yeah i know what you mean i'm not one of those people that are like "i'm british not irish, get it right" since well yeah we are all irish but we're also british if we live in the north. I don't really care for the rest of the UK the same as they don't really care for us but it doesn't change the fact we're still part of the UK. Honestly i'm just glad we're part of the UK because of the Pound sterling xD still best exchange rate i think but too bad the economy is shit lol.

Yeah, not too many people do get riled about it these days thankfully, just a minority of wankers (on both sides). And having the choice of passports can be useful.

Problem with northen Irish pound is that some places in Britain won't accept it, even though they should and you have to cause a scene. Same with the Scottish pound I think. Euro's are dead handy for traveling though, shame about the single currency thing going tits up.

From what I've learned in history, I'm under the impression that the UK is a very strong nation.

The UK is synonymous with bland food, bad teeth, and soccer hooligans.

I would say most of this, plus.

why aren't soda and other drinks every sold cold?
brits love their little snack cookies
I would say most Americans still see Scotland and Northern Ireland as different countries than the U.K.
