It's weird thinking that Scotland may not be part of the UK in a few years time. Just England, Wales and NI. Maybe NI will be the next to go once Scotland does.

But England is the one every one thinks of anyway though so maybe it won't be that different

The main thought that runs through my head at the mention of the UK:

AWESOME VACATIONS.

The history, architecture, food, drinks, culture, art, sexy accents, music, and views...

I'm annoyed that many people apparently think that only England makes up the UK, though.

Edit: I first used the word "Britain" instead of "England," so I fixed my blunder. Ooops... I'm not awake yet.

There's other places beside Britain?

Well, more than England, to use the more correct term. The UK is made up of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

I'm just saying that alot of people only think of the English when the UK is brought up, and don't realize that the terms "British" and "English" aren't the same.

They'd call themselves British though, depending on their own view. It's funny watching a Northern Irish person who calls themselves British being assumed to be an Irish person by someone from mainland UK. The look of disgust on their faces

I think that we should probably ask people what they want to be called, because it's clearly a touchy subject. There's not much like pissing off someone who doesn't want to be associated with another country. I think there are Northern Irish and Scottish who don't want to be called "British" due to the association with England.

The only thing I remember from my trip to the UK was going to Forbidden Planet. That show is pretty awesome.

I can't say too much about the UK; only that they seem to have a lot of very talented and funny people there. Speaking for the US, I want to thank the UK for people like Sir Patrick Stewart, Stephen Fry, and Hugh Laurie among others. The UK is one of those places I want to eventually get to before I die, even if just for a few days. Some of your football fans are hooligans, but it's not like we don't have crazy sports fans here either.
