That's why all the awesome countries, Japan included, drive on the same side as in Britain.
Silly man, silly silly man.
I know you were kidding but still.

In reply to the actual topic; I love the UK and I've been on a number of occasions (because I'm very close in terms of geographical location. I've been to London (once), Liverpool (thrice) and Manchester (once for a tiny tiny space of time) in England. British people are viewed in a mixed light here in Ireland. Some Irish people will obviously hate the English but there are very few of them. I for one love English people, I think they're awesome in general. Some stereotypes I would hear about British people include...

English people know nothing about world geography.
English people are often quite stupid.
English people love tea.
The Welsh shag sheep.
The Welsh have bad teeth,
The Welsh are stupid.
The Scottish are always drunk.
The Scottish have bad teeth.
The Scottish shag sheep.

Why does everyone think we have bad teeth?

I have the posh accent and I drink the tea so I guess I am a stereo type in that respect

I think it's because tea is said to leave your teeth yellow but whether that is true or not i don't know.

I didn't know of Wales existence until a couple years ago so it must be a pretty unremarkable place.

To be fair, there are many people up North who resent the fact that they are part of the UK and don't acknowledge it.

I'm Northern Irish myself and wouldn't get too hung up on it one way or another and tbh most people down South where I live now and on mainland Britain couldn't care less about what goes on up North. It's very complicated hassle neither wants to get involved in. That flag in Belfast nonsense showed the general apathy in both sides towards the North's affairs.
