Yeah so I'm hearing a lot of people say Lucy is the main character. Personally, I think it's Natsu since he fights all big boss battles, has a more developed back-story and... you know that main character feel to him. So tell me if you think Lucy is the main character (hoping you've watched past episode 1) or even Erza, Happy, Reedus...

I would have to agree, its Natsu... but I really like Lucy. To be honest though, I am not sure if I would like Fairy Tail as much without her though. She defiantly brings something to the table if you ask me. Maybe it’s because out of all the characters she’s the only one that strikes me as semi-normal (but who is to say what "normal" is XD)

Since this is a ripoff of One Piece,
I'm guessing the main character is one who is closest to a Luffy-character.

So Natsu.

Lucy is the main character. Yes, Natsu and many of the supporting characters are more interesting, and Lucy has always been kind of wimpy and unheroic, but the story is Lucy's. And actually Lucy's background is far more developed than Natsu's. The only Fairy Tail character with a back story developed enough to be comparable to Lucy is Erza.

it's not "who do you think the main character is?" the main character IS lucy.

It has to be between Natsu and Lucy, but if one had to be chosen I think Lucy would be the main character because it seems like the main story focuses more on her life and joining fairy tail as well as the mysteries surrounding her, her family, and her powers.

The story revolves around Lucy since she is always getting into trouble. But Natsu is also the main protagonist since it comes down to his iron will to finish every fight. Dragon Slayer bro. All about they Dragon Slayer. I'd say Lucy and Natsu are both equal.

Actually if you look at all the arcs, the story revolves around the guild most of time with Lucy playing no bigger part than the rest of the ''main'' guild members. I only remember her standing out 2 times, that Loke affair a while ago and that last filler arc. And as for back story... Seriously?? We can't compare him being raised by a dragon, becoming a dragon slayer, the lisanna incident (yep ), and that whole dragon affair that still has us hangin with the girl with ''just'' a dead mom and daddy issues??

Her joining of Fairy Tail was wrapped up by episode 04 and, if you take out that last filler arc, I don't see any mysteries surronding her (yet), her family or her powers.

Lucy because if you guys ever remember the beginning she was the one trying to get into the fairytale guild and it featured her in the beginning.
Also you can't forget about her boobs >.>

Well from the time I spent reading the manga, it was usually in her perspective. The series has four characters it usually focuses on but out of all of them I believe Lucy is the main character.

By the way, I count Happy and Natsu as one character
