Through post and forums I noticed canadians to be friendly in nature, Is it true that no countries hate canada. Are canadians the best allies to have as they are trust worthy and kind? do countries love canadians because they do not force they views on the world? How active are canadians in the worldwide affairs? do they keep to them selfs as a nation, or are they openly helping other nations in need. I live in the usa in the northern states bordering canada and yet do not know as much as I like about them. We do not insult or stereotype canadians here inless kindness is a common stereotype. How do the canadians feel about other countries. How do they feel about America as we border each other, or of there other english speaking countries like the UK? I have not herd one ill comment about the canadians, Why is that? Is canada forgotten by the world community, are canadians over looked and underestimated as a world power?

I've viewed it, but since I'm Canadian I don't really have an outside view on Canada. To me it's just... home.

My ex is Canadian so I can't really help but feel a bit hostile towards Canada as a whole, though I know I shouldn't. Though, they are a very calm nation and such. Actually, you can just watch Hetalia and that's kinda what I think of them. But yeah... the only thing I can really pick on them about is drinking milk from bags.

I've never heard any negative stereotypes about Canadians here in England. I understand Canada to be a peaceful country and have known a few Canadians and people who have been to Canada and hear good things. I like Canada.

I enjoy my milk in bags, :\ that way I can see what I'm drinking. I'm Canadian and have traveled through the states. I have met some Americans who for some reason or another dislike Canada, but I have not heard a concrete reason as to why.

I'm Canadian and I've never heard of anyone thinking that Canadians are mean and disgraceful etc. and I have quite a few friends outside of Canada, Canada is probably seen as a peaceful country by most because of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms giving those who are in Canada the rights (Other than voting and mobility of course). But that's just mostly my biased opinion because there's nothing that violent happening in Canada compared to other countries.

On the other hand Canada may also be forgotten because I went to Japan a few years back and at my basketball camp people didn't know where Canada was located because they thought the United States were all of North America (but these kids were only 9-10 so I wouldn't expect them to know my geography.

Yeah, I never really liked the bagged milk thing myself. I've had a few epic fails with them in the past. I prefer cartons.

The only thing about milk that I find strange is the fact that we humans are the only species known to continue drinking milk well past infancy and on top of that, we drink it from other species.

We take a perverse pride in being unnoticed.

Our best friend and biggest trade partner and nearest (practically only) neighbour is the United States.

That means unfortunately sometimes we feel obliged to define ourselves as NOT American. This may appear to be anti-american if taken out of context. But it's more like the when two siblings say "I hate you" to each other. Then go and beat on whomever hurt said sibling together.

So... We're not LOUD about our love of country. Doesn't mean we love it less.

I like Canada it has everything awesome, or so it seems. Nice people, hockey, ketchup chips, and rather loose laws on marijuana. I'll let you guess the first place where I will flee too if needed.

In terms of Americans not liking Canada or the people from there it's basically out of ignorance. South Park often makes fun of Canadians and even in How I Met Your Mother they make fun of Robin who is Canadian; it basically comes down to Americans being egotistical. Although, just remember a few bad apples don't represent the country as a whole.

Also, I like Canadian movies, they're hilarious.

Maple syrup, bone chilling winters, and poutine.

There's also Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

hmmm.. yeah.. Marjuana.

We considered decriminalizing it in parliament nearly a decade ago.. (sometime around 2004?)

anyway. After rumblings from the american ambassador about 'security risk and trade sanctions' it never passed. Maybe now that a few states have legalised Marjuana. The US will let us run our own country?

America will never let anyone run their own country, even though they can't seem run their own damned country.
