Uh... there's is. It's half staffed by Canadians. It's part of something called NORAD.

There's a NORAD in the states also, but regardless I cant go there because I'm pretty sure the people at the NORAD in Canada are all Comm and Intel which is a totally different career field from mine. I meant like a normal base where any career field could go to

aHH... sorry I misunderstood.( I thought you were wishing you had a USAF base watching over those suspicious mysterious Canadians. Didn't know you meant you wanted to be BASED in Canada)

Well there ARE exchange programs. A Canadian General Commanded the air strikes in Libya. Officers from allied countries do service in each other's militaries.

Also it IS the longest undefended border if you were at a base in Vermont, New York, Illinois, or Upper Michigan, you could easily visit the province of Ontario for day trip or weekend.

Being based in Washington State would let you visit British Columbia or even Alberta. Are there Bases in Montana? That's south of Saskatchewan and Alberta again. Our big RCAF bases are in Trenton Ontario and Winnipeg Manitoba.

Canada = USA jr Just kidding. I'm from Detroit which is right across the river from Windsor, ONT. Canada is cool, relaxed and "appears" to be slower than us but it isn't. Only difference is getting used to the metric system but that's it. I've been all over from Toronto to the boonies in the wilderness there. They don't make noise worldwide but are getting a lil stricter on who can come

My base manages the exchange pilots for Europe, but as far as I know there's not a exchange program for my job,i have like a average desk job. The closet thing I'd get to an exchange program would going to class for my job. The pilot exchange program is for officers only. There's no active duty bases in NY which i think is kinda dumb, since its NY.

I can basically only go where there's a flying squadron not every AF base has one(which makes no sense to me). If get stationed up north in the states I'm totally going to Canada.

Are you Canadian military?

Never really and not in a long time. I was a sea cadet as a child. (like boy/girl scouts but run by the navy) I was in a Militia regiment (what we call our army reserves) back in the early nineties. The labels Cold Warrior, Weekend Warrior, and Private-for-life apply to my military service so... I can't say I'm anything more than a military buff. And will remain so due to a pair of metabolic illnesses.

That said. there was a time when I knew a lot about our military.

edit
I'm curious now though. why do you ask? I might be able to answer some things
