BD sales are dreadful so unless the nearly 400000 manga sales benefited from anime advertising then you are probably right.

It really is a shame that such nicely animated, well written well voice acted anime can struggle to sell at all but shovel shovelware sells thousands upon thousands of copies. It's the McDonald's of anime I guess

Dang, this makes me sad. Probably in my top 20 of anime at least. i really enjoyed the characters and story. This blows. Oh well, The World God Only Knows is still coming back at least!

It is hard to predict what anime will sell. If I could do that, I would be working as a successful anime producer.

I agree. I love and am buying it and the manga which has so much more great stuff in it that would make a great second season.

Sadly, if you bought 100 copies of the discs you might well double their sales. The manga sells very well, nearly 400000 copies per volume but the anime has sold so poorly that we don't know how poorly, its sales have been so low that it has not made the bottom of the top 100 list for any volume so far.

I have bought all the manga and all the discs, Blu Rays and CDs. I would love for the rest to be animated but if they do, it will be purely as an ad for the manga which does happen, mind you. So you never know.

Aww, I liked this anime so much. I was going to start reading the manga but it's pretty hard (and expensive) to get my hands on it from Australia.

Are you going to read the Japanese versions? If so, it isn't that expensive really. Just 440 yen per volume, 10 so far. Shipping from Japan isn't cheap but even to north america it isn't too bad. Probably $90 including shipping for all ten volumes which isn't bad really, the English versions would probably be about $9-10/book if they were available but I don't think it's been licensed, has it?

No I don't think so. I've been looking for it for ages and haven't had any luck.

It's great!

And it is one of the few pure romance anime around these days. There is some humor too but it is just slice of life romance humor, not the slapstick humor you get in rom-com anime like Tonari no Kaibutsu Kun / My Little Monster and Sakurasou.

Just read manga chapter 43! It continues but takes next month off, back in June (August issue of Dessert).

Since I read Tonari no Kaibutsu kun and I'm starting some of the other shoujo stories I will need to buy next month's as well. Tonari is almost done so I am starting some new ones. The new titles are a bit silly but will see how "Beauty Bunny", "Hiren Trip", and "Tsubame, the sea and dolce" are any good as they just started a few issues ago when I got tired of waiting for the Sukitte and Tonari tankobons and started reading Dessert monthly...
