I dont think it will have a second season. Personally I love the anime, but I check the anime sales every week and by this time the volumes that are out dont have too much sales.

It's great!

And it is one of the few pure romance anime around these days. There is some humor too but it is just slice of life romance humor, not the slapstick humor you get in rom-com anime like Tonari no Kaibutsu Kun / My Little Monster and Sakurasou.

Just read manga chapter 43! It continues but takes next month off, back in June (August issue of Dessert).

Since I read Tonari no Kaibutsu kun and I'm starting some of the other shoujo stories I will need to buy next month's as well. Tonari is almost done so I am starting some new ones. The new titles are a bit silly but will see how "Beauty Bunny", "Hiren Trip", and "Tsubame, the sea and dolce" are any good as they just started a few issues ago when I got tired of waiting for the Sukitte and Tonari tankobons and started reading Dessert monthly...

what is shoujo ;O

I think you're being sarcastic but I'll answer anyways

Shoujo 少女 means girl or young woman. Here it means shoujo manga 少女漫画 which are for 10-18 year old girls as a demographic. As such, they usually have 'helper' furigana ふりがな on all the kanji 漢字 characters because 10 year-olds don't know all the characters yet.

The 'o' sound in shoujo is a bit long and this is needed as the term shojo 処女 means virgin girl. You may get a giggle out of someone if you use the wrong word. Most shoujo 少女 are also shojo 処女 but not all 処女 shojo are 少女 shoujo...

Aww, I liked this anime so much. I was going to start reading the manga but it's pretty hard (and expensive) to get my hands on it from Australia.

Are you going to read the Japanese versions? If so, it isn't that expensive really. Just 440 yen per volume, 10 so far. Shipping from Japan isn't cheap but even to north america it isn't too bad. Probably $90 including shipping for all ten volumes which isn't bad really, the English versions would probably be about $9-10/book if they were available but I don't think it's been licensed, has it?

There's no way I could read Japanese, and I'd have to look online for an English version. A lot of the manga over here is over $15-$30 depending on the sales and the anime is more than double that. Only very rarely do I come across anime that is less than $55 at minimum.

The DVD/BD sales were terrible so it will probably never get a second season.
It got an OVA though.

OVA with volume 11 is July 24:
http://animate-onlineshop.jp/pn/pd/1211648/

I have not pre-ordered it yet as amazon, my usual shop only shows volume 11 without the DVD so far If they don't list it in a week I will have to buy it from animate or somewhere else.

The manga sales are very good and it is ongoing so that is our only hope. It sells 400000 copies per volume per manga and it was up after the anime run. So faint hope is they will see season two as advertising for the manga with a loss on the discs.

I tweeted to Zexcs, Kanae Hazuki (mangaka) and the anime's official account that I had all 6 volumes of the discs and Kanae tweeted back! She is one of the few mangaka who tweets back to me :)

She replied, in Japanese, "All complete!! I'm happy! Thanks a lot ! Volume 11 with anime DVD comes out in July! Please look forward to it!"

sales will determine if it gets a second season, with the manga being rumored to be ending there might do the rest of it in anime.

The manga does feel like the end could be near, especially after recent chapters. Gosh, everything is ending! My Little Monster ends this month.

Sadly that would make it less likely, not more likely to do a second season of anime. Without the manga ongoing, poor disc sales alone would be no reason to bother making more anime.
