ESTP personality
June 17th, 2012 | 2 Comments
People with the ESTP personality type are very social, spontaneous and direct. Some may even see them as rude or reckless, but ESTPs truly love action and always dive right into the heart of the storm. ESTPs dislike theoretical debates or thinking about the future – they are only interested in “here and now” and focus all their efforts on living in the present.

I got ISTP, I was reading it and accepting that it was completely me then BAM! out of nowhere it says that ISTP's enjoy physical activity and a hands on approach, unless slowly moving my hands to type is a form of physical activity I think it is slightly wrong. (For me anyway,) but from what I read about half of it was me half wasn't. Here's a few bits I agree with :)

"They are usually very rational and logical, but can also surprise everybody by suddenly becoming more spontaneous and enthusiastic."

"ISTPs are relatively private individuals (after all, Introversion is one of their personality traits), which makes it even more difficult for other people to tell what is really going on in their minds.) "

"ISTPs are not naturally emotional and they may have difficulties recognizing the boundaries of what is allowed and expected in emotionally charged situations – consequently, they may unwittingly hurt people belonging to more sensitive types."

"Unlike most other introverted types, ISTPs do not really care much about personal space."

"Fairness and equality are two other ideas that are very important to ISTP personalities."

"In general, ISTPs tend to be very optimistic, generous and confident in their abilities"

"even if they say “I do” in front of a priest, that actually means “I do (until something changes)” This does not mean that ISTPs are unwilling or unable to develop and maintain lifelong relationships – they simply dislike committing to something without an exit clause."

"One more trait commonly seen among ISTPs is their tendency to keep their opinions secret. People with this personality type enjoy listening to others and learning what they think, but avoid voicing their own thoughts or concerns. ISTPs also tend to dodge questions by asking counter-questions"

"they tend to have very strong and deep feelings, even if they find it difficult to express them. Furthermore, as already mentioned above, ISTPs live in the present and so do their feelings – they may be very passionate one day and indifferent the following day. Their romantic partners should not take this too personally – this is simply how the ISTP mind works."

Seems pretty legit. A few things aren't entirely correct, but for the most part, this is me. I'm often mistaken as arrogant, that's one thing that stood out. Anyone who knows me will say just the opposite; I am very humble.

INTP

Have taken this test many times before, in various forms. Results always vary between INTP and INTJ.
