Well, fuck those people, they are losers! Go ahead and try to change to world.

I cannot change the world by myself. Until I can prove to people how evil sexual assault is, it will still occur, no matter how hard I try to eliminate it.

Yes, you can. I have. I've been doing it all my life.

The universe is random, everything that happens to you is random, luck is all a matter of perspective. Of course all of Science could be wrong, but I would rather believe high trained, reliable professionals than a book that tells me that two people populated the planet and all animals were within walking distance of Noah's house.

How should I put this?

I feel that you should only pray either for things that are completely out of your power or after you've done all you can. Otherwise, I honestly think you're wasting God's time.

How can you waste God's time when he has infinite time? God always cares no matter how small your problem is. He has infinite compassion.

I just feel like if it's something I know I can do on my own I'm being lazy.

I feel like the more I want something to happen ( I don't pray), the less likely it is to occur.

I'm surprised that this hasn't become more of a religious flamewar where everyone who has posted here hasn't ripped each others' throats out. Hehe.

I believe in the power of prayer. I'm a spiritual person and a Christian. BUT (and let me emphasis BUT) do not pray for something and expect it to magically happen. A lot of people do that, thinking that prayer will save them if they rely on God. But you can't just sit on your butt and tell God to do something for you. You also have to help your situation as well.

I hope that makes sense.

I was always told to "wish in one hand and _____ in the other. See which one fills up first". You want something you have to work for it.

For me it's that boring thing I go do on weekdays in exchange for little to even less money, though I guess it all depends on what your goals are.

Nope. Generally when I wish for things to happen they don't happen.

It tends to be more of like there are periods where life just completely sucks, but then I have a great period of sunshine and happiness that goes on for awhile before everything sucks again. Such is life.

No. The sooner you realize you are wrong, the better.

What? you think that hoping for something to happen or that believing that somone/thing will take care of it for you, instead of taking action yourself is better?

That just because i want something done it will happen? No, if you want something done get up and do it. The world wont pander and wait for you. You have to get ahead yourself. Praying and wishing sure as hell ain't going to do it for you.

I don't wish or pray(has never worked so i gave up), although i kind of believe in karma. whenever the opportunity arises where i can be of help or can help some one i do, and when something good happens to me whether it be the next day, next year, or some random time in the future. In the back of my head i think of what i could have done before that made something good happen to me. Besides it feels good being helpful to others.

Are you playing jeopardy to fill the blank?

My answer
What is hippopotamus.

the host reads: ''Wish in one hand and hippopotamus in the other?'' ''That is incorrect, are you stupid?''

me: ''NOOOOOOO, i was so close with that one, throw me a bone.''

Wow, i really went rogue with that bit.
