Or maybe i should get you some milk to go with THOSE brownies. Yeah, weed brownies! 8D. In all seriousness, you just narrated my obvious joke. You are blazing out of your mind. I'm sky high, sky high! Dun dun dun! Sky high! I'm so going to fly! |

I can already control reality with my mind, banning me is pointless.

Does praying and wishing work?
Nope, only hard work and a little bit of luck make things happen. You can't really claim it works because of one case, because what about the hundreds of times it doesn't ? It's just a coincidence |

Wishing/praying don't work unless the thoughts you're obsessing about lead to action which ultimately leads to your desired results.
For example if you wish for a car and think only of the car- you'll never have it unless you've already got systems in place to make the money to obtain the car. If you really wanted to obtain something you'd look for the underlying cause which triggers that desire to come true. In the case of the car the underlying cause would be work or the creation of wealth. If you focused on that, dedicated your thoughts to that, and worked hard using the ideas and newly created systems you devised then you'll succeed in obtaining wealth which ultimately leads to the car. It's a bit round about how the brain works but that's a fairly short summary for you. Don't obsess over what you desire- obsess over what it takes to fulfill your desire and plot it out using as many senses as you can(write it down, say it out loud, create a mind map, plan of action). Every day you feed yourself wishes and thoughts that create routines in your mind. These routines control you- make sure they're ones that benefit you. |

Wishing just means that you want something; praying is something you actually do.
Anyway, so about praying... "Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few." - Ecclesiastes |

People can say what they want about how praying and god is fake but you are all young. My brother works as a CNA and so will i in a couple of weeks. These old people start coming to the end of their life and the thought of nothing else which is so close for them scares them straight. The though that death is so close makes them totally give up the thought reancarnation. They go straight to the truth.
My dads step dad was one of the meanest people you would ever meet. He did some stuff to my dad growing up that i dont feel is my right to share but know this, he was the most prideful, mean, alcoholic jerk you would ever know. he found out he was dying and bam, he got saved, became super relegious and begged, letirally, begged my father for forgiveness. My dad is tough as nails and he cried the most ive ever seen a man cry in one day. my grampa died a couple weeks later. One thing is true, if there was no god, neither would there be athiest. |

Wishing and praying definitely work - if you're wishing to wish or praying to pray.
Edit: I find it funny that almost everyone (including myself) is answering only question 2 of the 3 in the original post. Question 1 - I can't honestly answer. I don't wish/pray like I might have when I was a child - as my answer above implies, I don't really think they are answered. However, I never kept track of it, and since humans are biased to notice when something doesn't work out for them rather than the opposite, it's possible that my wishes were answered more often than not, but I perceived the opposite. Question 3 - I'm terribly indecisive, I can't pick just one! I suppose I'd wish for omnipotence; it isn't what I want, but if I were omnipotent I could *then* wish for all the other things and wish to not be omnipotent after I got the things I wanted. Assuming wishing for omnipotence or more wishes were disallowed, I think I'd take my chances on immortality and hope for the future to bring my other wishes; probably live to regret that choice though. |

I believe praying works i only do it 5 times a day and i get most of the things i want but obviously have to do hardwork aswell i got most of the major things i wanted even though i still want more also my family is really poor compared to others nobody in my house has a job well at least not a proper one but my parents and older bro n sis are really religious and following the religion we are more privileged than at least half the people i know at school who are richer than me and we all went to private schools aswell so i believe praying work well thats my opinion on it

Unless you're implying that god created the athiests, I don't see how that is true. It is not necessary for something to exist for one to believe it might exist. It is not necessary for something to exist for one to believe it does not exist. If we could only believe that things that exist don't... what a world that would be. It gets weird if one tries to imagine that being true. For instance, if there were a glass half full, must there also exist milk in the empty part for one to believe that it is empty? |
