The most worrisome one is that Ore no Imouto is only 13 episodes... how the heck are they going to fit the rest of the story in 13 episodes?

There's going to be additional episodes not aired on TV as with the first series, bringing the total up to 16: http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?p=2019460#post2019460

Worse yet for non Japanese speakers, there will be audio only drama CDs included with the import disc boxes for parts of the story that are not animated. Wonder if they would dub those? I love Japanese drama CDs and buy them on purpose but for most here they are not useful.

Big pity about Oreimo 2. When the final volume is released, there will be 12 light novels. The first season (including the web episodes ) did the first 5 novels in 15 episodes. I can't help but feel that the pacing is really going to suffer if they try to do 7 novels in 13 episodes and add 3 in later. There's definitely a lot more plot in the second half than the first, can't help but feel some very aggressive cuts will take place.

NicoNico.jp has their initial spring 2013 lineup posted:
http://ch.nicovideo.jp/2013spring-anime

In past seasons, all but 1 or 2 have been simulcast by a company in the U.S., but as I recall, for winter, all were. If that does happen this time, however, that would mean getting sequels to two series that we haven't seen simulcast before.

I want to say I'm disappointed but honestly 16 episodes could be the sweet spot. So many animes just DRAGGG on with 24 episodes. As long as the story doesn't feel rushed I think it will be perfectly fine... well I hope so at least.

I was wondering when we'd start seeing that. I'll have to list those titles on that page soon.

By the way for those curious on what anime is on that NicoNico link that TheAncientOne posted:

Aiura- since it is TV Tokyo and a short, this is likely Crunchyroll
Aku no Hana- Starchild Records series so either Sentai or Viz.
UtaPri 2000%- no clue. Showgate is involved but it is also an Aniplex series. Funimation? Crunchyroll?
Oreimo 2- Confirmed Crunchyroll
GK Majestic Prince- ???
The Blood type short- Likely Crunchyroll
Attack on Titan- Kodasha and hype could mean likely Funimation
Galgantia- Bandai Visual and Production IG could mean Viz, Funimation or Sentai. Staff points to a Funimation license
Sparrow's Hotel- Confirmed Crunchyroll
Date A Live- seems like a Sentai license.
Devil Survivor 2- Showgate and Pony Canyon. Sentai will very likely get this one. Crunchyroll?
Railgun S- Almost certainly Funimation
The alcoholic Mermaid show- Another Starchild Records series. Sentai? Crunchyroll?
Nyarko-san W- TV Tokyo series and very likely Crunchyroll.
Hataraku Maou-sama. Anotehr Showgate series. Likely Sentai and Crunchyroll
Hayate no Gotoku Cuties- TV Tokyo and Crunchyroll has streamed two of the previous series.(It got the first series as a catalog title)
Samurai Bride- Showgate and very likely Sentai. Could come to Crunchyroll.
Pretty Rhythm- no idea if anyone will stream it.
Yuyushiki- Showgate. Crunchyroll?
Azazel-san. Kodasha and Production IG. Could be Funimation. Might be a Crunchyroll series
RDG Red Data Girl- Kadakawa series. Could be a direct license to Crunchyroll. Could be a Sentai sublicense.

Photo Kano and Youth Romantic Conedy seem likely to be TAN exclusives, since they are TBS series. I really do wonder who will get UtaPri since it was a niconico exclusive simulcast and isn't available anymore. Personally I probably wouldn't have watched it without the comments.
Was Samurai Bride season 1 simulcast, or was it later licensed by Sentai?

Assassinx89 wrote: I don't understand why CR is getting licenses from companies who are creating daisuki but it makes me less worried about CRs lineup this season. (happily surprised)

Daisuki said in an interview with ANN, this last week, that they wouldn't be aiming for exclusive streaming, but rather to aggregate their companies on their site, as well as wherever else they may stream.

The way they said it, some people were thinking that they would be trying to aggregate everything, but they've previously indicated they are just considering whether to stream anything licensed out by anyone outside of their group.

Either TBS must be happy with how that works out, to keep with it, or else they have a package deal with Sentai/TAN that, for whatever reason, they decided not to announce as a package deal.

UtaPri is interesting. If I remember correctly niconico licensed the series from Dwango (basically their parent company), which is notable because CR lists them as the provider of Da Capo III. Dwango was also the company that gave Milky Holmes 2 to funico so it would be quite ironic if CR managed to get UtaPri 2.

The first series was indeed a simulcast at TAN. It was their third, following HOTD in the summer of 2010, and the shared simulcast of Demon King Daimao in the spring of that year.

Funimation's panel is happening now at Sakuracon. I'm reading Bayoab's Live Feed of it. EDIT: Since the panel is over, I'll use the permalink instead http://bayoab.info/live/old.php?panel=263

EDIT: No new simulcast annoucements. Typical. Psycho Pass is getting a home video release in 2014 though.

They did mention that they have a lot of new simulcasts so maybe they will get 8 or more. (although it could be in the 4-6 range)

EDIT2: Viz's panel starts in two hours. I imagine we'll get a simulcast announcement or two out of that,

EDIT3: Not simulcast annoucements for Viz either. Crunchyroll panel will begin in two hours(5 pm PDT or 8 pm EDT which is my timezone).

EDIT4: Aiura and Mushibugyou will be simulcasted by Crunchyroll.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2013/03/30/crunchyroll-to-stream-mushibugyo-and-aiura-anime

The regional availability on both are pretty great.
