Noone will be simulcasting attack on titan. MBS is apparently not letting anyone (except france) simulcast it. Also noone currently has the simulcasting rights to arata kangatari but that might change soon.

Source? And if Attack on Titan ends up not being simulcast, I can only imagine the number of people that will hunt for fansubs.

I think for Attack on Titan, Crunchyroll may get it. It has similar to Kuroko's Basketball. They are both MBS anime. They are both made by Production IG. (This one has no meaning but: They both aired on April 7 but one year apart! XD)

But this is all a guess... I just hope I'm right. Which I'm not so sure of...

Still I agree with this comment..

*Edit*

I think Crunchyroll may get it because they got Muromi-san which is a Kodansha anime. Attack on Titian also has Kodansha on the attack on titan animenewsnetwork cyclopedia...

@AnimeNewsdotbiz: Looks like MBS and the production committee held back Attack on Titan streaming rights. Not expecting a late pickup either.

So what that says directly is they haven't been offering independent streaming rights, which means its most likely to be streamed if a home video distributor goes for the full license.

Of course, if there were one or more home video distributor negotiating for it, and at least one would insist exclusive North American streaming rights, the streaming rights wouldn't be offered out. If that is happening, its happening quietly:

‏@AnimeNewsdotbiz:
@Jrnemanich It's not surprising. Didn't hear anything about it being picked up during TAF or ACE, not even a rumor about optioning it.

Its not as if its completely unavailable, because Kaze has apparently picked up the French rights:

@WTK: @AnimeNewsdotbiz Series is getting streamed in France (starts Apr 8th). So the series is not completely unavailable outside of Japan.

Point is shingeki will be like jojo and not have a simulcast. Even if its the most hyped show of the season.

Unless Sentai or Funimation license it for home video distribution in time for it to be simulcast.

That most likely have to be Sentai, since as long as Funimation commits to dub every home video release, they have to be more cautious on their home video licensing than Sentai.

I tweeted asking them to please stream Titans worldwide. If that doesn't get results soon I will tweet that they are a steaming pile of Titan turds for not streaming it but I hope it doesn't come to that LOL

Well, I'm sure that'll force them to change their tune.

OK, looking at the 3 boxes and just seeing that Funimation hasn't gotten a big show for Spring yet(and Funi is more likely than Sentai to get Attack on Titan because it would sell well here in North America).

Leaving aside the Duck show and the Blood-type show, which I think CR will get but since those are shorts that almost nobody cares about, I think the 3 boxes for CR are:

Red Data Girl
HenNeko
Yuyushiki

Funimation's haul is looking more like this:
You've Been Summoned Azazel-san Z
Arata the Legend(same studio as Aquarion and it is actiony enough for them. Also Viz would have announced it by now)
Date A Live
Railgun S.

Somehow I can imagine that people won't like it if those 3 boxes all end up as shorts(The duck one, the blood-type one, and the Glass Mask parody).

My tweets always get results.... um, sadly, no...

Next I will, seriously, threaten not to import their show if they don't stream it. I don't import anything that doesn't get streamed here. I didn't start buying Little Busters! until Crunchyroll got it. Still haven't bought Jojo's Bizarre Adventure even though I have bought the manga for years and years. No stream, no buy. A few PVs posted on http://www.mbs.jp/shingeki/ are not enough to make me buy it and I shouldn't have to download it illegally to see if I like it. I know, they don't give a Titan turd if one foreign guy buys it or not but that is my stance anyways.

I have no idea if this is a good place to ask this, but I'll go ahead.

How does the Pokémon anime work in terms of rights? Is there a new opportunity with each series for CR to pick it up? Do CR simply not want to host it, or is it not possible for CR to obtain the rights?

I like to watch it every now and then, but both the dub and fansubs are too far behind so they usually don't have the episode that grabbed my interest. A simulcast on CR would be the ultimate way to watch it for me.

Note that Yuyushiki is the missing series from Showgate who have licensed four of their five Spring anime, three to Crunchyroll, one to Funimation.

However, if someone is negotiating for Yuruyuri, then Yuyshiki could well be involved in that, since Showgate is on the production committee for Yuruyuri.

Oh, just start and end there. "Hey, I'm a buyer of imports from Japan here ~ but no stream, no import." And then try to get others with the same attitude to tweet the same thing.

I'd have to win the lottery to be able to afford Japanese import prices, so sadly I can't join the #NoStreamNoImport twitter army.
