Its licensed by MangaUK in the UK and Madman in Australia/NZ, so unless Crunchyroll got a package deal with one or the other of those, getting it as a catalog title outside of North America was not very likely.

by the way, I'll be going to Anime Boston next weekend, and the convention schedule is now up:

Friday: Aniplex of America panel, Funimation Town Hall
Saturday: Sunrise panel, Sentai Filmworks Panel, Funimation Industry Panel, Kodansha Comics.

I will try to go to those panels and I'll also go to the the Fate/Zero dub event and the Sword Art Online dub event. If you want me to ask any particular question, just let me know.

What I am already planning on asking
(AoA). Will they be doing a license rescue of Kannagi?
(Sunrise) City Hunter and other 80s classics to Crunchyroll?
(Sentai) How well did The World God Only Knows do for you? Are the 4 girls and an Idol OVA and the Tenri OVAs in your license plans (I can also see if I can ask DLW about Snafu's episode 13).
(Funi). Input wanted for questions.
(Kodansha). Do you plan on releasing Knight in the Area's manga here in North America?

EDIT: Funi Town Hall conflicts with the Fate/Zero event. Since I am more inclined to try to win Fate/Zero swag than ask Funimation questions, I am leaning towards the former. If anyone has anything they want me to really ask Funimation at Anime Boston, please let me know this week before the convention.

I watched the stream of Sentai's ACEN panel so apparently they are looking into the TWGOK OVAs and the series did quite well for them. So thinking of asking about their interest in Dog Days and Nanoha StrikerS instead.

And I will revisit a post from this thread:

EDIT: Atxpieces has a nice April Fools Summer 2013 chart. There are a few troll listings, but most are actual Summer 2013 anime.
http://atxpieces.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/summer-veraf-apr1.jpg

I guess it will be nice when Atxpieces releases their real first Summer chart.

EDIT2: In case you were wondering, on Atxpiece's April Fools chart, there are 6 fake listings(Histoire, D-Frag, Arakawa 3, Gakuen Babysitters, Kabu no Isuki and Hitsugime no Chaika). The other 22 listings are real.

Revisiting this quote of mine now that it appears that Hitsugime no Chaika got the green light for an anime.
http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2013/05/19/coffin-princess-chaika-anime-planned

If somehow Hitsugime no Chaika winds up being done by BONES as was atxpieces fake entry, they'd look like a genius. I have a suspicion that it would come out next year but who knows.

Damn it. What goes in the last two boxes? I seriously think CR is just keeping them there as a troll.

And I hope that the April Fools chart posted above is incomplete in addition to have false titles. Otherwise it looks to be a lean summer. But, isn't Fairy Tale supposed to be back in the summer? Or were they waiting until the fall?

I wouldn't expect Fairy Tail back for quite some time unless they do a filler arc. They're only 34 chapters behind the manga, and the actual amount of material per chapter is pretty slim unless its awkwardly drawn out in the anime.

Maybe they've signed the contract but the rights start up in June sometime ... in which case they would announce them much closer to when they actually go live.

Completely unrelated, but I noticed that both TAN and Hulu have Godannar available. I wonder when that happened? I think this may be the first time it has been legally streamed.

Nergegate has their fully legit version 2.0 chart for the summer out now:
http://neregate.com/blog/2013/04/11/summer-2013-anime/

Summer normally does have fewer series than the spring. There will also likely be a few more series announced, as the summer seeason doesn't start until July. I expect the final tally to be in the low 40's.

Since ADV solicited it in 2005, if they got it through Sentai on a 9 year license (I think 2005 may be after they dropped their previous licensing deal that eventually forced them to restructure), this would be about the time to have a look to see if its worth a bargain "last pressing before the license expires" release.

Crunchyroll could be waiting until June as agila61 said, or they could be waiting for whomever to announce it first. It could be something from Aniplex of America or it could be from Sentai.

The 2 TBD boxes are still there, but now the five live action movies that got announced today are after those boxes. All five come from Media Blasters(for some reason their publisher page changed to GPC Films).

I'd say be patient for those boxes.

I did find on TAN that it was only added a bit over a week ago.

I added the first episode to my Hulu queue to check the expiration date (is there another way?), and found it is 12/31/2015.

Another item that slipped past my radar is that Nozomi Entertainment finally started uploading episodes of Irresponsible Captain Tylor (currently up to episode 12).

Sentai just announced Godannar at Anime Boston, so its a license rescue.
