You couldn't pay me enough to use Windows 8, its terrible. What the heck was Microsoft smoking?

The next gaming PC I build will be Ubuntu Linux-based, I am officially through with Windows.

Hey, Crunchyroll, make an app for Ubuntu. There are 50 million Linux users in the world and many of them are Otaku.

I guess I am one of the few that doesn't have any problems with this OS.
All my games work like a charm, the performance is very satisfactory, I have no driver issues and I have yet to encounter any compatibility issues on software that means a damn to me.
It's just a bit different from the older windows versions.

The biggest problem I've seen with Windows 8 so far is located between the keyboard and the chair.

As far as an app goes, sure Windows 8 looks pretty app based so if anyone of your programmers is willing to make one I'd certainly be up for trying it.

Crunchyroll might make a Metro app, but the app store policies might stop them in their tracks. MS takes a cut, even if the app is free and it sells a service. According to the terms & service, unless they've changed recently (I would have heard about it because I watch the industry closely) MS gets a big cut. They're doing the same thing on the Xbox 360, forcing users to get an Xbox Live Gold account to use Netflix and other streaming apps on the console. This is why Valve's Gabe Newell is so against Windows 8 and why you'll never see a version of Steam for the Metro UI, and why there is now a Linux version of Steam.

Mystic Island Games will be supporting Windows, but we won't be making games for the Metro UI. Oh, and we will be releasing Mac and Linux versions too, along with Android ports. Screw iOS, their app store policies are about as bad.

I can certainly see your point from a developer's point of view.
But in my eyes, being a simple consumer with a little bit more than average computer knowledge, this looks more like a personal problem you have with their marketing policies than with the actual OS.

Anyhow, I'm just saying that it would be nice if. If not, then that's fine too.
