The most terrrifying film I have seen is the movie, "The Exorcist', starring the young Linda Blair.

Two movies that wrecked havoc on my nerves when I was younger was:
The Gates of Hell - Just the idea of zombies that could teleport and attack was eerie enough plus it was uber gross.
Evil Dead - May not seem like much now but back then it was pretty terrifying.
But for a newer movie that kept me on edge:
Grave Encounters
Super creepy almost to the point that I didn't want to know what happens next but I just couldn't stop watching. One of the few movies that I would watch more than once.

The only horror movie that really scared me was peurs du noir, even that i was alone in the room watching it, i keep looking behind me several times.
