Well anime gang its me the DingoFoxMan here to ask you a question, well since my cash flow has sucked this year and only got to play a few games, but I did get to hear alot about what was going on in the game industry all year round. I was curious to see how many people were paying attention. The question I am asking is what would you consider this years Big Fat Fail for gaming.

Star Wars the Old Republic, along with ME3 killing Bioware's reputation. Or showing how corrupt EA can be, either way it's bad.

While I hate a lot of things about swtor I do like most of the stories in the game and wish for new ones.

The biggest fail of 2012 that I can think of for me is The Secret World. It looked good and I had high hopes for it but couldn't even stick with it for more than a week or two before all its problems became too much. Seriously thought about trying to get my money back for that one and typically I don't ever bother with doing that.

I would say Resident Evil 6 failed in 2012. I'm sure fans of the series wanted to like it but in the end, they just got a blockbuster action game with little to none horror elements.

The stories were good, except for the bounty hunter for me, which was the class I wanted to play the most. Ironic how I was always being told that I'm going to be super rich and was always having to sell junk so I could afford skill ups. For me though the big issue was the fact that it just wasn't optimized for lower end machines, on my old rig I could play plenty of newer games just fine, but the game just didn't scale well and there was no option to lower particle effects when I played. So PVP was killed for me, instances were bareable, and I just couldn't deal with that. I have a good enough rig now but hell, my old one could even play FFXIV just fine xD

Good answers gang, The one that stuck with me griping throughout the year was the " Back then " Cop out from Bethesda with Skyrim DLC for the PS3, there was some excuse with the games dlc only being compatible with Microsoft and PC's, but anything can run on a PC durrr maybe not as crisp but does. Anyways it pissed off people including myself....after a few months its scheduled to come out soon the PS3.

BioWares reputation indeed.

They got one more shot with DA3 and if that is terrible BW has officially jumped the shark.

Well, this might be cheating, since it really started back in 2011, I think, but I gotta say.......Capcom DLC-

*BBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*

Okay, okay, fine, flame me! But I still stand by it. Capcom. Stop the BullS#$t. Please. Just stop. I am so SICK of DLC, and a big hand in that is Capcom. Never before have I seen such cheap ploys to make money in my life! Hell, I believe in capitalism and even I think this is criminal!
What with their most recent examples being Ultimate MvC3 and SFxTekken on disc DLC.........that you have to pay for separately....wow. I already payed money for the disc......60$ in fact..........and you want me to pay ........MORE???................F@$k. You. CAPCOM!!!!

I didn't play really many new games but I think that Lineage 2 becoming free2play was a big fail (imo it was totally ruined, now it's pay2win and there's a sea of cheaters/hackers and OMG the spam!! WTH is all that spam?!).

Other than that, obviously Diablo 3:

Game/gamestation were the biggest fails in 2012.

The mass effect problem where all pre-orders would not be valid, the bonuses for halo 4 were not honoured and the drastic increase in prices, despite having the same product at a lower price right next to it.

They said nothing about the stock issue, in fact I had to ask them about it after hearing it on the news and from twitter! I was furious that they did not try to even inform me or apologise immediately.

Then Gamestation refused to acknowledge about the bonuses, claiming I had made them up. I had to then wait over a week to finally get a reply, at 1st it didn't work but after a 2nd attempt the codes worked.

I just find it bad that they've been going against the very things that made them the best shop for games. They've increased their prices despite having the same product next to it, still new but much lower. The fact they couldn't organise the midnight launches, so many people were ignored and thus had to wait even longer when they were there 1st.

I just feel that Game and gamestation are pushing away their loyal customers. I've been buying from them for at least 15 years, yet now I shop elsewhere.

The gaming community and it's constant bullshit shenanigans of having unrealistically high expectations for games. ME 3, DA II, Diablo 3 and RE 6 range from about mediocre to great games. But yet, we still have people complaining about them being 'terrible' and 'god-awful' and that "companies are just money grubbing pieces of shit".

I'd much rather call myself a casual gamer then ever be a part of this ignorant cesspool of tantrum throwers.
