I always hear that it depends on the band. Years ago I saw the Dave Matthews Band live, and they're phenomenal at improving during their shows, and their shows are always good. You hear some good covers, might hear a classic tune, and they vary their set pretty much every night. So you never really know what to get as far as the setlist goes. I've seen them a few times, and not once was I disappointed.

Other bands, though, I've heard aren't anything special live. A band like The Killers, who I hear pretty much play the same exact set night after night. It's good if you like them as a band though, don't get me wrong.

I saw a band years ago that I don't remember the name of, and it was absolutely horrible. I stood around for a couple hours and genuinely regretted going, although I don't remember actually liking the band to begin with. Some girl suggested we go, and I said why not and went. Regrettable decision.

My first concert was probably some salsa band when I was young, my parents would always take the family to shows in the park. The first concert I paid for was Bon Jovi during the Bounce tour with Goo Goo Dolls opening. I was in high school and was not their key demographic lots of older people, still good show and now I try too see them in concert when ever I have the money.

My first live concert was Taking Back Sunday back in '06. Was pretty awesome. Tickets were only 20 bucks and it was in a big auditorium like building (no seating, just stand wherever there's room).

I think it was Queen + Paul Rodgers.

However, Rammstein was the greatest concert of my life. Obviously Queen and many other bands I've seen trump them musically, but the sheer excitement was amazing.

Justin Timberalkes concert for the Album Future Sex Love Sounds.
Man was it crazy. It was very entertaining and there were girls everywhere!

The chicks behihnd me were playfully playing around wiht my hair and being all cute til JT came out on the stage and then they got aggressive hitting me across the head.. lol

im very serious though this is true... I think they were mad because I wasn't JT
but nevertheless it was a memorable experience!
