I mean, sure, there will always be that one person who just blatantly makes the stupidest decision ever and etc... But still, that may not make them dumb. Dumb is more of a personal preference. Its how one sees it, because not everyone who disagrees with you should be marked stupid, right? But to those who are so obviously just beyond stupid I try to ignore. And if I must talk to them, I guess I just talk to them as I would anyone else. And if you think about it, we are all dumb in someone else's eyes. So I like to follow the "Golden Rule." Treat others how you want to be treated. Because apparently we're all dumb too, in our own way.

Granted, I was a math tutor, so simply ignoring them wasn't an option. It was my job to try to help "dumb" people understand things that they were not naturally talented at.
