The worst ever.

Sitting in front of your computer, staring at a blank page.

You try to think of what you should write.

You start out trying to make a sentence.

You type in "The". Stare at it for half an hour. Then slowly hit the backspace key.

Then after a few hours of the same thing. The page is still blank. You give up and fire up a game or something.

So, what do you guys do when you face that scenario?

Me? I've taken to drinking supplements.

After about five of those, Im in pretty good shape.

wow, nasty case of writer's block. I usually just close the document, forget all about it and come back the next day only to find out that i have block again. I find the most effective method is to write it during boring lessons!!! XD Since well my friend is also pestering me to hurry up and write so she can read, it helps me not to get lazy ^^

lol hmmm

I hardly do my first drafts in front of the computer.. I'm still using the old fashioned way of pen and paper, then transfer it to computer and revise it.. Usually I'd forget things by the time I turn on the computer and open up notepad.. hahaha

I'm more creative when I lie down or sit on the ground, especially late at night. I usually write well around 10 - 3am. lol

It's really weird, and "drinks" help me more on my assignments haha, especially last minute reports. *nods*

I used to go to this sight
http://www.seventhsanctum.com/generate.php?Genname=quickstory
it has a bunch of generators to play with, lol, but it never really helped me now that i think about it, but it might help you.
I usually get great ideas as im laying down trying to go to sleep. I sit there and day dream about my fav anime and what if i was in it, or about my own story and what would be cool to happen. Sadly my crazy method requires lost of sleep and if not that then forgetting my idea....
o, and its always fun to act stuff out, it makes things more real that way!!! fun fun

When I get writers block..... normally I go out and walk at the park or go out with my friends. Watching random movies works too sometimes. Something just clicks and you're like.... OH. Then you write for another few hours until you get stuck again xD;

I hate when I get writers block. I love when I can just be "unclogged" and write for hours on end.

I stop writing that story until inspiration comes back.

I wonder if we can play word association here + every 10th word, you have to use the previous words to make a lil story?

Writer's block : \

I like watching movies or reading books to get around them, especially ones that mirror the ideas I'm trying to hit (but never plagarize)

well...i have short attention spam. lol. so i start one story then suddenyl get this new idea and i leave the previous story to write the new one. and then it all starts up again. so i have like a billions unfinished stories, and i guess its useful for when im out of ideas. i can just get my old stories and use them .=] when i get writers block (which is like all the time) i just look at a picture or maybe grab a memory. then i write down a sentence thats associated to it and a story sort of forms from there. maybe that wood help? i dunno, depends on the person really.

xx

Well, like most good artists, I’m religious so I pray whenever I get blocked. That usually works for me, rather from divine intervention or my own deception, I believe the former, but you’re free to believe the later.

Secularly speaking, I wait until I’m good and tired. My mind is more free when I’m sleepy. My grammar suffers but I at least get a story going.
