Mind block only happens when my mind is on something other than writing.
Also, my brain is kind of like a video game. (how fun it is, I'm not sure). There's a HP metre, (sadly, no MP) a concentration metre (which depletes after too much homework and I can't think right), and a creativity metre. When the creativity and concentration metres run out, it's game over. Unless I keep hitting the retry button and restarting without any potions. Then I'm truly screwed. So basically, if I keep trying to write when my creativity and concentration are depleted, I'll get a crappy story. This means that I'll have to refuel for the next couple of hours by walking, talking, watching movies/TV/animé, playing video games, playing computer games, eating, sleeping, drinking powerade (powerade and only powerade), taking a shower, listening to music, reading (this works the best), or other random stuff.
The best way to get rid of mind block is to stop writing and do something else for a while. Go back at it later. The timing has to be right. (the timing, THE TIMING I SAY!!!)
There's many other ways that my mind is like a video game, but most reasons are not related. =X

i'll surf the net.. but writing a story has already vanished.. time to enjoy! i'll give time for myself to relax, rather than being stuck in front of MSWord/Wordpad.. there are so many thoughts floating in the net.. i might find interesting ideas and maybe i'll start writing..

i don't think i get too much writer's blocks. unless its a specific prompt. i juss prolly put down things, and when i re-read it turns out, that my story doesn't make sense anymore. XD but i twik twik it and voila, we have a story. lol. writers block no problem really, juss right a whole bunch of other things sumwhere and come back to it. or do sumthing insirational like stalker who dreams and gets inspired. i prolly play video games XD.

well, mine needs rest. Swelling habitual migraines (that are arent real migraines actually) happens all the time. But to fellow writers, it's all in the mind to make. Imagining of something that interest you does make you move to write. Plus the inspiration, admiration, and perspiration... Be proud of it...(That's on my side...)...k_m

Writer`s block ? Hmmm ... I write when I get good plot bunnies . When those plot bunnies run out though , I stop writing and save my work . I rarely write when I have writer`s block . My writer`s block can go on for days . >.>

I make this tread into a sticky for those who are still active in this group to discuss among members if you ever encountered a writer's block and need some help to overcome the block....We are all willing to help out by giving new ideas/inspiration or whatever....

Godspeed....

Ugh, the curse of writer's block. I have not been able to write a single thing for almost 2 years now. I had always wanted to be a writer, but at this point I'm doubting my hopes for a future as an author. After all, what is a writer that can't write?

Sadly, I don't have any ways to beat 'Writer's Block'. I can't create any stories at all, and the only times I DO get to writing is when I am telling about something that happened to me personally. (And then I go into so much detail that some people become annoyed. )
