demongurrl13 26811 cr points Send Message: ∞ / F / Inbetween Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 1/3/13 I haven't really seen a thread about this series so I wanted to create one to help me find fellow fans and also to spark interest in other otakus who have yet to see this beautiful anime. I've seen some of the horror anime threads but it seems like this particular anime is often overlooked. It's kinda sad because in my opinion it's one of the best horror animes out there. For those who don't know about Mononoke, it's a spin-off series from the last tale in Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales called Bakeneko. It follows the main character, the Kusuriuri or Medicine Seller, as he exorcises ayakashi. In my opinion it's an amazing series. Very beautifully executed with stories that can really tug at your heartstrings. So... Let's start a discussion! It's reallly sad.] @ Seversky Yeah, I've read the manga too. Unfortunately the 19 chapter manga only tells the Bakeneko tale which was created as part of Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales. None of the stories in Mononoke the anime were printed in manga. Well, that's as far as I know. I don't think I've seen another Mononoke manga aside from the Bakeneko one. I read somewhere that some people found it hard to get through because of the subject matter. Is that why you stopped reading? Or was it just lack of interest?
