Would it be a good idea to watch DCIII with no knowledge of the series?

This season looks like a complete disaster for new shows. Only way to save it is to get haganai 2, Chihayafuru 2, Vividred, and Tomago Mkt. Chihayafuru and Haganai 2 are pretty strong possibilities. Doubt Tomago Mkt since I don't think CR has ever had a Kyoto Animation show (other then LS long after it's run)

Well I'll tell you this.. I watched the first one and then moved to the second one (Da Capo II) Which almost made no sense at all, personally I didn't like it as much as I liked the first one, because there were to many questions about why this was that etc.

But I would recommend watching them all, because of course it's a sequel, of course you will be missing out on stuff in previous seasons.

What happened in Da Capo II that I didn't like:

Thank you for your advice. I may try to watch the previous ones (any idea if Crunchyroll will get them?). Are the 3 different Da Capos part of the same story line? With different characters, it seems like they may not be connected. Is it necessary to watch the previous Da Capo series to understand the 3rd one?

What makes you think Haganai 2 is a "pretty strong" possibility? Funimation had the first series, and it did well enough for them that they licensed additional rights to it.

The odds of CR getting Haganai 2 are about the same as CR not getting Chihayafuru 2.

I don't know exactly what the 3rd will be about, but the second and first are about 50 years apart? I think it was somewhere between 50-53 years apart.

I would recommend just going on "myanimelist" to check out what they are about.

Da Capo II http://myanimelist.net/anime/2595/Da_Capo_II
Da Capo III http://myanimelist.net/anime/14827/Da_Capo_III

And about the Crunchyroll part.. I don't know, I hope they get all of the others on here too, but it's probably some licensing problems etc.

I guess I may just watch it then. If I like it, I'll try to find some way to watch/play the previous 2. I'm not sure I like the idea of reading up on the characters from the previous ones (because I may eventually choose to watch them), but if you think it would improve the experience, I guess I will.
