Six-Word Memoirs
Posted 1/4/13
I haven't seen a game like this here so I decided to start it. Anyway if there's already one please feel free to lock it.

Unlike the other story games, this one does not require you to continue from the one previously posted. We did this as an exercise in one of my previous writing classes and I thought it was fun.

Anyway, the idea is to write a story in only six words. It's said that Ernest Hemingway was once given a challenge to write a short story in only six words. The story he wrote was:

“For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”

Seems pretty simple, right? It would be interesting to see what everyone can come up with! Plus feel free to comment on the other posters' stories. Anyway, I'll start.

Mine is:

The noose she hung remained empty.
