App not showing up for Samsung BD-E5900

Samsung support basically passed me along never helping me and just telling me they don't support this app. Even though their webpage shows it does. Was wondering if anyone knew how to make the app show up on the BD-E5900. I just bought the BDVD player this morning.

Yup, The issue was my BD wasnt updating. Had to manually via usb update it from their site.

Here is a little more detailed description. So basically the firmware wasn't updating via the online update. Two ways to accomplish it, first is to go to settings then support then click software upgrade, then click online. As of today the latest version that will get you crunchyroll is 001057. If that does not work then follow the first link. Should be able to work for other models as long as you get the right firmware file. First link has a link to find models firmware files.

On a side note, I bought 2 of these, one I had done the manual update for. Then when I went to do the other one I tried online update via the settings and it worked. So if you don't have a usb, try later or another day.

I apologize for the delay in response.

I've just heard back from Samsung, and this particular Bluray player has been built with two different chipsets.

On one version of the BD Player, the Crunchyroll app will work, and on the other it will not.

Unfortunately there is no way to tell what version chipset the Bluray player has.

At this point, you would need to follow up with Samsung to see if they are able to assist further.

Do you have a way to contact them, that gets me to someone who doesnt follow a script and speaks english, because those are the only people I can get too.
