Gintama.

I've seen the first 5 episodes between 2007 - 2013 a total of 5 times and I'm still trying. Every time someone brought it up, I would be all excited and gave my best but still ended up putting it on hold.

I was being told that the anime only gets better after episode 56..? That is if I can actually reach it.

This might be evil of me from a purist perspective, but I don't think I'd ever be able to sit down and watch all of Gintama from episode one. But I do really like the show. So what I'll do when I feel like watching it is more or less randomly select an episode I haven't seen before that doesn't look like it's inside an arc and watch it for my Gintama fix.

Like I watched episode 25 recently because I'd seen TrueGoober recommend it before. And it was completely hilarious.

I've also watched most of the Gintama Classic episodes from season 6, which was a nice selection.

I watched Xam'd and enjoyed the story... until I watched the last episode. I have never watched something that I enjoyed and then watched the ending and suddenly just hated it, but that's how I feel about it now.

I want to like K-On! but I can't stomach it when I see anime bands. I don't know why, but when I started getting fairly okay at guitar (after 6 years of grueling practice), I just can't seem to watch cute little anime girls just pick up instruments are play them like experts, whether they have the background for it or not.

I don't know, I've hung around young musicians for all those years of practice and I know how they are with their music and I guess I just can't believe what animes put forth on things like this.

It's weird I know, but I cringed at that familiar scene in Haruhi when she filled in for that band's lead and I also twinged at Angel Beats! every time their band played. It just... ugh... again, I can't put my finger on a definable reason.

And don't get me started on all the karaoke scenes countless anime have... ughhhhh...

I guess it just shatters my willing suspense of disbelief when I see that stuff. Hits a little too far into my familiarity zone I guess.

"Oh look at me! I can suddenly play the guitar as if I've been playing for years when I've only had a week of practice!!~"

or

Pretty much anything in R-15.

I can kind of understand; I actually found that very disbelievable in Haruhi as well, since I doubt she'd ever really sang. Along with this, I can't stand when, in an anime, the characters can sing really well with no background of how they can do so. I've been singing for a while.

Well, I've wanted to get into plenty fandoms, really- one of them being Steins;Gate, but I can never convince myself to pick up the anime. Along with this, although it isn't an anime, I'd love to be in the Homestuck fandom but it was just way too boring to read.

Everything on Crunchyroll(?)

For the most part, i finish anime series in one sitting... but I cant do that with any of the ones on CR.
I jumped between 4 different series in just one sitting because none of them... were... well, good? Enjoyable? Eh?

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

I've seen 20 episodes of it and I just can't even though I know it's a legit well-made series.

Ghost in the Shell. I'll watch it eventually, everyone has such a high opinion of it and it's a classic in anime, but for whatever reason it just hasn't grabbed my interest enough.

Steins;Gate. I hear it's really good, but I always end up falling asleep or getting distracted watching the first episode.

with most romances im a bit edgy going in because i cant stand broxsis stuff, its just...gross. anyways aside from that and i know I'm probably gonna eaten alive for this but I could not sit through Haruhi i got through the 2006 series somehow but endless 8 just killed it.

Edit: the only reason i was able to sit through most episodes is because Kyon's VA reminded me of Gin which always just made me happy

Give Clannad till episode 9 for the feels to hit you like a brick. The show has to progress very naturally up to that point. It would be a shame for it to feel forced. If you don't like it by then, well...

K-On! isn't my favorite either.
