Episode 2 was fascinating, now I'm wondering if Hyobu knew Andy's intention... The only character I find annoying is that sound manipulating esper... he acts like a jerk.

In Zettai Karen he is mostly used as a bit of comedy. There was even a gag where it looked like he was going to die in the 4 Koma. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide To be fair Yoh, Magi and Momoji all come from pretty nasty backgrounds. The Major rescued them from war zones as children and raised them himself. Yoh was the spoiled baby of the three in part because the Major tended to give him whatever he wanted just to stop him from screaming down the building they lived in. Hyobu is very soft with regards to kids. His own background as a child soldier is a large part of this. He wants Esper kids to live happy lives, even if that means spoiling them rotten. Today's episode with Yugiri, is a perfect example of it, he simply can't say no to kids. He wants kids to be safe, happy and protected from normals who would hurt or manipulate them. Children are too innocent and vulnerable and sooner or later, no matter how nice they are, normals will betray them out of fear. He wants very much to protect them from the same experiences he's had in his life. Next episode has me pretty excited. Bringing in both the Children and Fujiko. Fujiko vs. the Major is going to be a fun Psychic battle

More super powered fun with main characters who are actually pretty confident in themselves. Personally I like Unlimited a bit better but Problem Children is a good series

Problem Children is definitely my fave this season
