Below 25 is definitely too young, in my opinion.

I don't believe in marriage at eighteen.
I think a more comfortable age would be the late twenties. You're not too naive to the world, but you're still young enough to explore the world with your love.

Age is irrelevant. Maturity and loyalty are all that matters when it comes to marriage.

EDIT: ...when it comes to any monogamous relationship.

Horrible with relationships
Guys who like me - I don't like
Guys I like - don't like me

I got married at 20. Lasted next to no time and have been divorced for over a year. I'm 23. Marriage on paper is not a good idea, and anything under 25 is too young. From a mental standpoint. People will argue that it's about maturity and if you are experienced. But experience is all in your head. Simply the way you think. You can be a virgin but more worthy of the word experience

well, I went and got engaged at 22 to the girl that i had been dating for the past 3 years and it was looking promising for 6 months until she decided to cheat on me when i went out of town for a couple of days. looking back I now realize that we were probably too young and immature to take marriage seriously. ( and by "we" I mean her)

I never got married and haven't felt the experience. Haha.. Still.. I still say in my age range is a bit to early... Not saying it bad in sort of speaks.. just saying relax and enjoy your life while you still can. After all.. this song should clear up things ^-^ .

OOC: Of course it about 17 years old.. but sending a good message to them saying " You won't be seventeen forever
And we can get away with this tonight"

Been together with the same person for 8 years now after being friends for another 4 before that...officially married for 4 years when I was 21. We've watched each other go from kids to teens to young adults and now looking forward to beyond. We have bad days from time to time - no relationship will ever be perfect - but at the end of the day there's no one else I'd rather be with.

There is no magic age. It either works or it doesn't <3 But if you're going to make that commitment make sure it's the person you love. Marriage is too hard for anything less ^_^

*Edit - My timeline is somewhat confusing haha. Befriended him at 13, started dating him at 17, and married at 21.

Youngest is up to the culture and how people are treated within it. An Amish family for instace getting married as a teenager would be much less a problem than someone living in Hong Kong because of the restrictions, opportunities, and values of the people who can support the couple. While some cultures marry people EXTREMELY young, like 6 and 7 years old in areas of Nepal I'm ok with it if the wife is treated fairly and in those cases the groom is the same age and it's treated as little more than an engaged couple. Most of the time however they are not treated fairly.

That's my main hesitation with young marriage is child brides. Girls who go directly from one home to the other by marriage are treated as little more than property to be traded around for the benefit of the children's fathers. IF a girl were to be entering a household where she would receive or continue an education and have the opportunity to advance her life I think marriage at that age would be fine, so long as she's not treated as some pedophile's sex object. There's actually international pressure to stop such early marriages because the girls aren't given education or life opportunities but it's not really working.

Late teens/really early twenties is too early, my mother married an older man when she was only 21, it was not a happy marriage. and it did NOT end well.

Nothings too early.

It is when you are not ready for it.

Tell that to the Amish kids.
They get married pretty early.

They are either ready for marriage or it is forced on them.
