I love green tea. I drink it hot in the winter and I drink it cold in the summer time. It defiantly helps relax me.

After seeing this post not a week ago, I went out and purchased some. Have I drank it? Not as of yet.

I don't know why, but every time I drink green tea I cringe. I can only take iced tea. Not even that. I can only withstand an Arnold Palmer. Not the golfer, (LOL) the drink named after him.

I think the question should be 'Who DOESN'T drink green tea?'

I shall get the firewood ready.

I drink it cold with icy water.

To make it, I'll let the leaves sit a while in a small quantity of very hot water. Then, I'll pour like....a liter of ice-cold water into the container, wait a while, and drink it like that. When it gets empty or weak, I toss in more leaves/bags and repeat. I don't really throw away the old leaves until I've used them at least 4-5 times over the course of maybe 3 days.

I drink green tea fairly often, my favorite kinds are jasmine pearl and gyokuro, which is unfortunately extremely expensive so it's more of a treat. I don't take sugar in my tea.

If you're cringing when you drink it, I assume it's because it's bitter. This might be one of two things, (1) the tea might be very stale, which makes can make it bitter (2) the water might be too hot and it might be scalding the tea leaves which can also cause bitterness. The ideal temperature for most green teas is around 195 degrees Fahrenheit.

I don't mind it, but I usually just drink a mixture of cheap black and orange herbal iced tea. Only 2/3 cups of sugar per gallon, so it's not very sweet at all. I have my own tea pot from Teavana, and I have Wild Orange Blossom and Pineapple Kona Pop herbal, Maharaja Chai Oolong/Samurai Chai, and Peach Momotaro artisan tea that I can get into when I'm in the mood. I haven't gotten around to ordering any of Teavana's green tea selection yet... Yet. Their Moroccan Mint, Spring Morning, and Superfruit Unity green teas sound nice.

I don't care for bottled tea, because I think that they taste off.
