fitzergald wrote: Truthfully, I'm really harsh with him because he scares me on a personal level, being the epitome of a controlling boyfriend. Toma is really sweet normally, it's just that he tends to lose his marbles at the drop of a hat. I won't spoil it since they will most probably reveal it next episode but this level of misunderstanding was just god awful and no amount of the heroine talking to him would solve it. Eek! I'm afraid to watch the next episode now It's always nice to see the western fanbase appreciate Kent. He's really unpopular in Japan, which might have to do with how normal and lovey dovey his route is compared to the others but I actually liked his route precisely because of that. It was a breath of fresh air compared to the drama in Shin and Ikki's routes, and also the calm before the storm that is Toma's and True Route. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide There's another character who's even more broken than he is and he's second last next to Kent. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide so I'm guessing that makes green-hair the True route? I've read some stuff about him, but couldn't piece it all together, so looking forward to the revelation! I can't think of the 'healing'/'saving' thing as a reason to love Toma. I'm with you mate, hence my continual wondering about why we are absorbed by these characters: I guess that's the purpose of fantasy right? We dream we can save such characters because we feel this gives our love a purpose and thus higher value, but such a relationship in the real world would no doubt be in the realms of reportable domestic abuse with little potential for redemption. When do we see her thighs?? Incidentally: what are the guys out there getting out of this show!? I'm so surprised to see blokes posting on this thread! |

Wow, lol, I just saw ep 9 and your right, I'm quite surprised! Before this ep, I was rooting for Kento or Toma, but after this ep, I can't say I'm rooting for Toma anymore - I'm rooting for Kento or maybe... the green-haired guy! ...depending on how absurd and potentially insane his plans are, lol imiami wrote: Incidentally: what are the guys out there getting out of this show!? I just hope that everything makes sense by the end of the series. |

I'm glad the 'blokes' amused you! It's a common word around here! Yes, I think we're all agreed on waiting for a solid outcome! When I read the new season blurb for Amnesia I thought it was going to be an intriguing mystery type affair, but after the first few episodes it just seemed like so much eye-candy. I'm amused by everyone finding it confusing! Once I found out it's derived from a dating SIM it was just a question of watching through the routes. Not that I'm not intrigued, but as I think someone else mentioned earlier in the thread - the mystery aspect hasn't been capitalised upon: mainly IMO as they've chosen to leave the heroine as a blank (as she might be in the game I guess). Which is frustrating as it effectively means the boys are conversing with themselves. If you were in that situation you'd definitely be asking a ton of questions! |

All I can say that this anime adaptaion is not working for me, It is boring to the extreme. I mean i tried but it just annoyed the living daylights out of me. |

'dudes' and 'blokes' are not the same where I'm from - very different demographics indeed! |

Wow, I actually really liked ep 10, in particular the 2nd half of it...
Ep 10 spoiler thoughts: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide There's obviously something funny about Ukyo, the green-haired guy. Aside from the world trying to kill the heroine, It seems that he hinted that he has an evil twin running around. Either that, or perhaps he has a split-personality of some sort. Also, did anyone notice how they did a flashback to the burning clock tower? This is the same tower that we saw at the beginning scenes of ep 1. The only difference is that we saw Ukyo in this one. I think Ukyo is her real love-interest in her own world, and that something happened within that clock tower in her own world which is sending her to all these other worlds. |

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I don't really understand why Ukyo doesn't just spill all the beans if he knows whats going on. I mean from an anime standpoint I get it but why wouldn't he just explain in detail whats happening to her. Also wtf is the point of Orion? At first he looked like he'd be a useful guide through her troubling adventures, but he has become all but useless and a background character which seems odd considering he explains that whats happening to her is entirely his fault. Team Toma! |

Team Toma! Lol, yeah, Orion seems pretty much useless. It'd be funny if he ends up being the actual bad guy (or one of the bad guys) in the end. And wow, u still like Toma eh? I'm still rooting for Kento, or possibly Ukyo... |

Really good episode. We get some more clues about what is going on.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide One has to wonder if after reading the girls diaries and seeing what her true feelings are now he realizes how badly he screwed up in the previous episode. He meaning Toma. It's a rarity that anyone would openly let you read their diary without having some deep bond with that person, I just still feel bad for her and Toma. Anyway, it seems this Ukyo person is the only guy out of the five who knows what is happening and yet he leaves the poor girl in the dark with only giving her hints of the world trying to kill her. I'm sorry, but if your someone's lover and you KNOW what's happening to them tell them the truth. I don't know if any of these guys truly understand what this girl is going through. And yea, Orion is about as useful as a box of rocks. Still happy with the episode. The muddy water is beginning to clear. |

Click to show or hide It's probably Ukyo's misguided attempt at keeping her 'happy'. From his point of view, there are some things she's better off not knowing especially since they are technically strangers now. Orion was just a glorified mouthpiece in the game to entertain you especially since the heroine doesn't talk at all. His snarky commentary was one of the good things and it did help lighten the incredibly heavy atmosphere of the game. He technically has a role but he's used more as a plot device more than anything. Well at least he kept me sane throughout Toma's route, if he wasn't there I would have ragequitted halfway. |

But I don't know. There was another annoying anime I couldn't finish. It was the one where this girl is like the tamayori princess or something and she has these dudes, or blokes ( ), protecting her. Anyway, this reminds me of that but worse. |
