fitzergald wrote: tommythecat wrote: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I don't really understand why Ukyo doesn't just spill all the beans if he knows whats going on. I mean from an anime standpoint I get it but why wouldn't he just explain in detail whats happening to her. Also wtf is the point of Orion? At first he looked like he'd be a useful guide through her troubling adventures, but he has become all but useless and a background character which seems odd considering he explains that whats happening to her is entirely his fault. shaunj07 wrote: Really good episode. We get some more clues about what is going on. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Anyway, it seems this Ukyo person is the only guy out of the five who knows what is happening and yet he leaves the poor girl in the dark with only giving her hints of the world trying to kill her. I'm sorry, but if your someone's lover and you KNOW what's happening to them tell them the truth. I don't know if any of these guys truly understand what this girl is going through. And yea, Orion is about as useful as a box of rocks. Still happy with the episode. The muddy water is beginning to clear. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide It's probably Ukyo's misguided attempt at keeping her 'happy'. From his point of view, there are some things she's better off not knowing especially since they are technically strangers now. Orion was just a glorified mouthpiece in the game to entertain you especially since the heroine doesn't talk at all. His snarky commentary was one of the good things and it did help lighten the incredibly heavy atmosphere of the game. He technically has a role but he's used more as a plot device more than anything. Well at least he kept me sane throughout Toma's route, if he wasn't there I would have ragequitted halfway. Yea, Orion was the original one to make her feel some sort of comfort with what was going on. I won't make light of that but he's even more contradictory than the girl is. I've never played the game before so I don't know much except for what the anime shows us. Nonetheless, this anime has kept me curious what's going on since the first episode and I'm fine with that |

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I'm glad the Toma route has finished, the cage and psycho over bearing nature was rather unpleasant. Orion is also especially annoying, I've seen chocolate fireguards more useful than his character. Though I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what's going on with Ukyo. It will be interesting to see if it is split personalities or a evil twin. suikojay wrote: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Also, did anyone notice how they did a flashback to the burning clock tower? This is the same tower that we saw at the beginning scenes of ep 1. The only difference is that we saw Ukyo in this one. I think Ukyo is her real love-interest in her own world, and that something happened within that clock tower in her own world which is sending her to all these other worlds. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Yeah I noticed that too - it was after he threw her off the hospital roof. I think you might be on to something there, I guess we'll be finding out soon. Am I right in assuming that there will only be 12 episodes? |

It seems that way... according to Anime News Network: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=14811&page=25 Although, it's possible they might have a 2nd season... but with the way things are looking, I think things will wrap up in the next forthcoming eps. |

suikojay wrote: Wow, I actually really liked ep 10, in particular the 2nd half of it... Ep 10 spoiler thoughts: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide There's obviously something funny about Ukyo, the green-haired guy. Aside from the world trying to kill the heroine, It seems that he hinted that he has an evil twin running around. Either that, or perhaps he has a split-personality of some sort. Also, did anyone notice how they did a flashback to the burning clock tower? This is the same tower that we saw at the beginning scenes of ep 1. The only difference is that we saw Ukyo in this one. Click to show or hide These were my thoughts exactly after watching this last episode. I kinda love his crazy, split personality, "I'm gonna toss this bitch off a hospital building roof." thing he's got going on XD. I believe he just wanted her to return to where she should be quicker... thus... he tossed her. I couldn't help the gasplaugh that escaped when he did that either. Dude is crazy! Crazy awesome! New first fave, Kent in a close second. |

Noo, the Toma path is over! Now it's at the end and all that's left is Ukyo. Why does he get her lol?

I can't say I'm a fan of Ukyo. He was just this weird lurker that sometimes helped her and sometimes
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide killed her... Uh so not cool! His face was even creepier than Toma's when he was slipping her sleeping pills. but now that I think of it, didn't she say her heart was racing the first time she met Ukyo? I don't remember her having that kind of reaction to any of the other guys at the beginning. *shrug* |

Back then, I interpreted that as possibly meaning that she fell in love with him in a prior time loop. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide But now, I'm thinking her heart "fluttered" because he's the person whom she really did fall in love with back in her own world - and not in any prior time loop. Keep in mind too, that there may be a 2nd (evil) Ukyo running around. @ 13:45 of ep 10, Ukyo stands outside of the university that just exploded and states "The same as that time... This must be my... " I think if he would've finished his sentence, he would have said "other half" or "evil twin" or something like that. I think it's quite plausible to say he's either got 2 distinct personalities or another bad guy version of himself running around. He's supposed to be the Joker from what I hear. |

His face was even creepier than Toma's when he was slipping her sleeping pills. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide This bad end is actually the tamest death (and it is Kent's bad end, damn I'm still bitter about Kent getting one episode and now this, way to rub salt on the wound) by virtue of Evil!Ukyo being at his most 'gentle'. He mercilessly stabs her in Shin's Bad End, and pushes her in a well on Toma's. Let's not even go to the bad ends in his own route which I'll doubt we'll ever see. Unlike Toma though he's got...reasons. It doesn't justify his murders of course but at least it's not Toma level insanity that gets brushed off as 'romantic' and 'he did it for love'. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide My own interpretation was he meant that this must be his own world given that he's into the dimension hopping too (referring to the fact that it is his route/world). Good god he really needs to finish his sentences. |

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Hmm, yeah that's certainly a reasonable interpretation. Another thing that kinda makes me think there's another Ukyo running around is because of what happened at the 12:15 mark in ep 10 where the heroine runs into Ukyo. The conversation starts with Ukyo saying that he's glad to see her. But the heroine responds with a shocked/scared look, and she starts to run away after Orion tells her to run. Then Ukyo tells her to wait, and then he says something that I found peculiar, "Did he do something again?" My question is, who is "he"? I think he's either referring to Toma (since his route was the one she was previously on) or he's referring to some other person whom he knows is hurting her, or trying to hurt her. The only other candidates that I can imagine would be himself (with a possibly split personality) or an evil twin. I can't honestly think of any other guy that would try to hurt her. Also, u made a good point about Ukyo also dimension hopping. Now if that's true, which I think most likely is, then what happens to the Ukyo that's originally from the parallel worlds? I think if there is another Ukyo that's in those parallel worlds, I think THAT'S the evil twin, while the one who's dimension hopping and keeps saving her is the good Ukyo from the heroine's own world. But who knows, lol. It's an anime, and it doesn't always have to make sense, right? I mean, there's still the question of why aren't there 2 heroines in every parallel world. You would think there would be since the original heroine from her own world is dimension hopping to all these other worlds. Either way, I'm looking forward to the last couple eps! |

Anyone thought maybe Ukyo could be the same person regardless of how it looks?
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Why not tell her ways to avoid her death if he knowingly in advance could be the cause (I find it hard to believe a planet wants to off single person) plus we saw how Toma looked all sweet and innocent before he locked her in the cage why would Ukyo be given the benefit of the doubt? Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide then drop her off a building elsewhere. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide she needs to go open her diary again that is locked to see if the same stuff is written in there about Toma considering this new route starting with Ukyo. |

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Also consider, those girls bullying the heroine never apologized in any route except for the Toma route. If she sees those girls again in the Ukyo route, will they still be bullying her as if it never happened or will it continue on from the Toma route? |
