Saw it. Absolutely loved it. The story, characters, music, everything was amazing.
What did everyone else think of Tarantino's newest classic?

I think it is maybe slightly over rated, not to say I didn't like it though. It was a very solid movie and one of the better releases in 2012. I just wish Tarantino would mix it up a little bit and not be as predictable in some scenes. For example a late scene in the movie that involves Candie being paid... it was kind of predictable what happened and what the results were but it felt sort of forced.
The acting is solid all around, Dicaprio especially puts on a crazy good show.

I really liked it. Some of the scenes were very uncomfortable, but I think that was Tarantino's goal.

And Tarantino win best original screenplay for Django. Wish he could've won for best director though.

I absolutely enjoyed Django Unchained! I am real big fan of Tarantino's films so I especially pay attention to all of the details in his films since they all tend to share a lot of common themes. From in-depth dialogue between characters, savage violence, to the focus of anti-heroism, Tarantino likes to bring these themes into his films.
In my opinion, Christoph Waltz, aka Dr.Shultz, was a brilliant actor and many of his characteristics were similar to his role of Colonel Landa from "Inglorious Basterds." I just find his actor extraordinary and how he brings heavy diction and eloquence in the most extreme situations (viciously hunting down bounties during the Pre-Civil War Era).
Overall, it was great film and I applaud Taranto for his work!

I liked it but thought that it was his weakest writing yet. It was very very slick and well produced (I wouldnt expect anything else) and exhibited his usual sense of humor and his visual obsessions (70s blacksploitation mainly). The acting was good. But it really wasn't much more than a premise and a series of connected action sequences. Again, I enjoyed it, but felt that it was ultimately lacking the strong writing that held together his earlier work. I like that it was very very clearly three acts that divided nicely. It didnt feel like almost three hours.
Overall pretty good, but I think he is losing his edge and becoming an imitation of himself (I suppose it is bound to happen eventually).

I enjoyed it, it was a decent film. Loved DiCaprio.
I also died laughing at one scene in particular : SPOILER
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide "Say goodbye" "...goodbye?" -sideways shot-
The fact she he was shooting straight and down, and she went flying up and sideways killed me. lol
