Zero bytes downloaded lifetime. I never, ever download. I don't even stream illegally anymore. I am 108% legit and buy discs, books, magazines, etc. to support the industry. If I want it forever I buy the discs. I only stream via legal sites. I don't even use VPN to get around regional licensing restrictions.

But I also only buy discs for series that get licensed for me to watch legally. I won't consider buying Little Busters or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure until they offer it for legal streaming. I 'vote' with my orders and really want to see all anime offered here so I only buy discs for shows which stream on Crunchyroll. If they want me to buy it they can damn well let me stream it legally to preview it from the best site around rather than making me get extra subscriptions.

Well said.

I don't have downloaded that I watch because I already have them on DVD/Blu-Ray so why bother wasting Hard drive space? Although, I do download shows that I have interest in using for amvs. That is, until I actually care to learn video editting and such.

About 20 gigs. I just wanted to save my bandwidth because I kept re-watching a couple of series over and over again over stream.

The only kind anime on my HD is hentai cause those rarely get over here. Though I do buy hentai manga legally since its easier to obtain. I find it a lil messed up now to download anime. Cause none of that goes to the company and in turn less of an possibility to get another season.

whats up with this thread,

its like a joke or a trick question or something,

one should know that downloading anime is not kosher not unless it's one of those where you rip your digital copy into your pc .

Another possible legal source is stuff recorded from TV. I have many gigs of recordings transferred from my old Dish 510 DVR.

Too bad it was all SD. Dish SD was only 540 pixels in width for direct rips from the DVR hard drive. I had to resort to analog capture by for the more recent recordings before I dropped my satellite service, however, since the program I used wasn't update to account for some changes in the format.

I rarely watch any of it, but it is nice to go back and watch an episode or more when the fancy strikes. The biggest recent rewatch recently was re-watching my Code Geass: R2 recordings after re-watching the first series on CR before it was pulled.

Now that you mention that .....

I do remember trying this one company that tried the download to own by paying per episode but the copy had a low resolution and I dont know whereI store it and that company didnt last .I even still have credits but I can tell you It didnt even reach near a 1 gig for sure.

Funimation is actually looking at that but its still has a lot of grey areas .

A long long time ago, before videos on the internet, the only way to watch anime was to mail VHS tapes to somebody you met at a convention, and they would make you a copy, and you would hope that it was good enough to read the subtitles on. Some of us have holdouts from when being able to download fansubs was a new and shiny experience and Sci Fi Channel was going to be the herald of anime in the west because they had just shown Iria ;)

Now, yeah, you can stream everything, no need to download.

I have 2 anime episodes of the PSN so I'm guessing around 2 gigs? And as for the people stealing gigabytes upon gigabytes of anime like they're free samples you should all feel ashamed, you're the reason the industry is dying.

uhh i have 1 show downloaded which is Durarara!! But I bought it through the Playstation Network so I legally downloaded it. I never would have considered downloading it but the dvd parts were so expensive so it was cheaper to buy through the PSN. Otherwise I watch legal streams or I buy the dvds to support the shows I love.
